Staffs always welcome you with a smile & service is great. I find that the onigiris have a good ratio of rice & stuffing (I've tried them all - not pictured, but my fave is the unagi, mayo chicken & Mount Fuji). The also have nice summer drinks (the dalgona matcha is refreshing). My kids always ask for onigiris from this location so they can bring it to school as their lunches. I finally tried the oniDON with salmon & tempura shrimp, & it was delicious. The sesame sauce that comes with the oniDon was nice & light. Would order again!
If you're looking for the perfect quick bite that actually leaves you full, look no further. I recently stopped by Onigiri Shop, & it's easily become my new favorite spot, & before you know it, it's been six months I've been returning weekly! Most onigiri spots give you a tiny snack, but these are impressively large. One or two are enough for a full, satisfying meal. They definitely don't skimp on the fillings!
It's situated in a great location, making it super convenient to swing by whether you're commuting, shopping, or just exploring the area. It's the ideal'grab-&-go' destination that doesn't sacrifice quality.
The rice is seasoned to perfection, the seaweed is crisp, & the variety of flavors is fantastic. Whether you're a traditionalist or looking for something adventurous, this place nails it.
Great onigiri spot!
Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked rice, & really well-balanced flavors. You can tell everything is made with care. The staff is friendly & the atmosphere is simple & welcoming.
Price is decent. The service is very friendly. But the shop has limited table, so it is better to for small group or take out. The onigiri (the rice balls) have many varieties. It also come with combo with drink, mini ramen (or salad) & a dessert ( yuzu cheese cake). The mini ramen is decent. Yuzu cheesecake is pretty good. For the rice balls, the rice is chewy & tasty, which is excellent. The filling (fried chicken, tuna, & salmon) are well seasoned. If the seaweed can be a bit more crispy, it is be excellent ( but it is still good). It is much better than the rice balls you bought from most Asian supermarket. I definitely will come back for more.
The place is nice & clean, the service is good. But too bad the food is so dissapointing, the miso soup is bland, the onigiri is too much rice & lack of filling. The filling itself needs more stronger taste.
Saw an ad on facebook that a new onigiri shop is coming to brossard & wanted to give it a try as Satoshi (chef from Yasu) was also on the ad. Ordered 4 onigiri & 1 mini ramen. As an asian who travelled to Japan many times in the past, these onigiris are nothing compared to those in Japan not even close to the ones in 7Eleven or Lawson. The rice for some reasons taste bad. The texture is weird. Sauce & meat aren't good. I would say this shop is more to target non asian customers. Very disappointing. The ramen is surprisingly very good. I would stick to Yasu which is just across the street.
Tried it for the 1st time today. Did not like it personally. Good if you like a lot of rice. The fillings were lacking in flavour. I took the raw spicy tuna. The tuna had no flavour or spicing.
