Depuis plus de 25 ans, on nourrit notre fidèle clientèle et les touristes qui arpentent les rues du Vieux-Montréal dans notre boulangerie-café-restaurant de la rue Saint-Paul. On se démène, on travaille fort (et on s’amuse) sept jours sur sept, pour transformer l’ordinaire en extraordinaire pour toutes les personnes qui passent le pas de notre porte. La preuve? La file d’attente quotidienne en dit long sur la réputation de notre établissement!
Dans l'ensemble, Olive et Gourmando recueille des éloges pour ses saveurs vives et ses plats phares comme le sandwich cubain garni de porc, pancetta et Gruyere fondant, relevé par du citron vert et de la coriandre avec une mayo chipotle fumée, sans oublier des classiques réconfortants et un bon cafe; le nouvel emplacement Royalmount est apprécié pour son cadre magnifique et un service attentif, avec des plats décrits comme savoureux et bien présentés, bien que plusieurs critiques évoquent des portions petites, des prix élevés, des lenteurs parfois dans le service et certains plats ne paraissent pas tout à fait à la hauteur de la réputation du Vieux Port.
I found this location really good! Amazing coffee, very tasty menu options. Yes it's a bit pricey but it's so reasonable compared to everything else in royalmount. We specifically tried the brunch menu & weren't disappointed.
Une ambiance très agréable dans ce restaurant. La music est à un bon niveau ce qui permet de parler mais de ne pas être écouter. Le brunch est assez bon , un peu fade par moment (manque de sel). Cependant le prix est beaucoup trop élevé pour la quantité & pour la simplicité des plats. Le supplément saumon est extrêmement petit pour 7$ supplémentaire, c'est assez abusif. Attente assez longue pour le service.
As usual the food does not disappoint. We had the Cuban sandwich & the French toast. We always share these two dishes to have a salty & sweet meal. I was happy to be able to make a reservation rather than stand in line like the Old Port location. We will return for sure.
The chicken melt felt overheated & didn't come with any sides, especially disappointing given the high price. However, the iced chai latte was very good. The waiter told us the wait time would be 5 minutes, but we ended up waiting 20 minutes, which was frustrating.
Thought I'd try this location, hoping it might be better than the Old Port spot, which used to be my go-to. Unfortunately, the same issues persist. The prices are truly outrageous for such small portions & underwhelming quality. How can nearly $30 be justified for a tiny chicken melt sandwich? I honestly can't make sense of it.
The food itself was decent, but paying the bill was painful. I genuinely hope the owners take these reviews to heart. This is honest feedback from a longtime customer who used to eat at the Old Port location weekly. I'd love to support the business again if things changed

We came on a quiet day (Easter Sunday, when the mall was closed), & the service was excellent & quick. While the food is good, it is not the same as the location in the Old Port. The original location is known for its homemade bakery, including the bread used to make the sandwiches. This location purchases its bakery from another shop; I could immediately tell the difference. It is true that the price is the same at both locations, but the quality of the food certainly is not.

It's not cheap, but I think it's good value considering the very high quality of the food. Everything is very good. I love the chicken melt for an indulgent lunch & the salmon salad for something delicious & healthy. Pastries are lattes are excellent. & no wait for a table at this new location.
Je suis intolerante aux oignons & sur tout le menu la seule chose que j'ai pu commander etait une salade verte & le macncheese - qui etait delicieux (qui avait de la poudre d'oignons mais je ne suis pas reactive quand cest transformer comme ca) je trouve inconsovable de ne pas pouvoir commander ub grilled-cheese sans oignons …
Very slow service (waited over 45min for food) - we were only 2 people. After we ordered, waiter came back 20min later to confirm our order..? When our food finally arrived, it was cold. Rude waiter overall.
J'ai adoré l'endroit, notre déjeuner & le café étaient très bons. Nous sommes allées vers 10h00, c'était vide, l'endroit est cependant devenu achalandé pour l'heure du lunch.
Food is delicious, expensive for what it is but that's no different than the location in Old Port. Very small space not a lot of tables. Biggest knock against this place is their attitude towards kids & parents with strollers. On multiple occasions we have arrived with a stroller only to have it made it out to be the bigger inconvenience for them. Quite foreseeable they'd be a huge destination for parents with strollers in tow but they couldn't be any less accommodating...
I visited this restaurant for lunch, but the menu options were quite limited. I'd consider trying it again for breakfast or tea time, as the might be more appealing. Unfortunately, the chicken melt burger didn't meet expectations, but the salmon bowl was delightful fresh, colorful, & full of flavor.
