Food was good though expect to pay 28$ for a small sandwich
Service was inexistant
Rapport qualité prix inversé ! Plus vous payez cher moins vous mangez bon. Un sandwich à 40 pièces ? On s'attend à quelque chose de bon non ?
A Cuban sandwich layered with pancetta & slow-roasted pork, melted raw-milk Gruyère stretching between warm bread, brightened with lime, cilantro, crunchy pickles, & a smoky chipotle mayo. Crisp outside, juicy & savory inside. Every bite hits sweet, salty, tangy, & smoky all at once. 🥪🔥
There is no reason now to enjoy Olive & Gourmando, you can now make a reservation at the Royalmount. The space is beautiful, the service attentive & the food is really incredible. The tomato soup is the best I ever had & the Cuban sandwich is simply the best in the WORLD....REALLY!
Bravo à toute l'équipe. To be more objective in my comment & review, the only drawback is that its hard to find as the Royalmount is huge.
Food is good, but 26$ for just a sandwich is pushing it a bit.
Service was fine, but they forgot to change our reservation
Overall disappointing experience. The food was very good, but for 25$ for a sandwich you'd expect at least some sort of side like a salad or fries. The Cuban sandwich was very tasty, & my friend enjoyed her Chicken sandwich. The French toast tasted like plain bread with a side of syrup.
The service however was just plain awful. The waiter was very slow, & also forgetful - I had to ask for the same thing twice, & finally just asked another server who finally came through. I really enjoyed the original location in the Old Port, but this one pales in comparison & simply is not worth it.
The food itself was really good!
But, their Cuban sandwich isn't comparable to the one in the old port.
I'm giving it 4 star mainly because of this, as I feel the food quality isn't as good as the old port one. Nevertheless very good food!
Their salad is super tasty & light!
One last thing about price, I agree with others it's indeed on the pricier end, but given the decor & the place, I feel it's just priced, just don't expect to be paying a dinner or food court price at this place.
As usual the food does not disappoint. We had the Cuban sandwich & the French toast. We always share these two dishes to have a salty & sweet meal. I was happy to be able to make a reservation rather than stand in line like the Old Port location. We will return for sure.
Thought I'd try this location, hoping it might be better than the Old Port spot, which used to be my go-to. Unfortunately, the same issues persist. The prices are truly outrageous for such small portions & underwhelming quality. How can nearly $30 be justified for a tiny chicken melt sandwich? I honestly can't make sense of it.
The food itself was decent, but paying the bill was painful. I genuinely hope the owners take these reviews to heart. This is honest feedback from a longtime customer who used to eat at the Old Port location weekly. I'd love to support the business again if things changed
