I keep comming back here. Their dessert had the perfect combination of textures: both crunchy & super soft. The flavors you chose might be simple but omg do you feel & love them.

Tucked at the corner of Rue Rachel & Rue St-Hubert, Ol' Sweet Pâtisserie is a delightful little spot that dessert lovers should definitely know about. Parking can be a bit tricky on busy weekends, but once you step inside, the effort feels completely worth it. The cozy space is filled with the smell of freshly baked pastries, & it instantly puts you in a good mood.
The staff here are warm, welcoming, & clearly passionate about what they do. They take the time to explain their treats & help you choose, which makes the experience feel personal & inviting. There are only a few seats inside, so it's more of a grab-&-go kind of place, but everything is made fresh & beautifully presented.
The star of the show is their Hungarian kürtõskalács (chimney cakes). Watching them prepare these sweet, spiral pastries is part of the fun-the dough is rolled, coated with sugar, & baked until perfectly golden, filling the air with a mouthwatering aroma. You can then customize your order with your choice of toppings, which adds a nice personal touch.
The pastries themselves are light, crisp, & sweet, with just the right balance of flavor & texture. Each bite feels indulgent but never heavy, the kind of dessert that makes you pause & enjoy the moment. Everything we tasted was fresh & made with care.

Pâtisserie Ol' Sweet is easily one of the most memorable dessert spots I've come across. Their specialty-kürt?skalács, or chimney cakes-is a must-try: freshly baked, perfectly crisp, & filled with creative toppings that make each bite unforgettable.
Parking can be a bit tricky, & seating is limited, so it's not ideal for lingering. But if you're looking for something unique & delicious, this place absolutely delivers. Great for a quick treat or impressing out-of-town guests with something they've probably never had before.
Deeeelicious desserts! Two friends & I sat outside enjoying our tasty treats. Apparently I was a public ad as people walking by all looked at me eat & one person came back to ask where the pastry was from & then walked with his partner to the shop! I finished the rest of my roasted almond with tea. A must try!

I wish I could upload photos, but I was way too excited (& hungry) to eat my pastries. We had both the chimney funnel cake (coated in pistachios with a pistachio cream filling) & the tiramisu cone…. I can happily say that I was in dessert heaven. I definitely will be going back & next time I don't want to share my dessert with anybody. Hopefully I can upload a photo next time 🤤😍
I tried their new tiramisu cone & wow, I brought it back to my car & I sat there for 10 minutes devouring the dessert, I couldn't stop myself from finishing the whole thing! The fluffiness in the dough, the perfect sweetness of the homemade mascarpone & rich taste of coffee all went together so well! Will definitely be coming back, really enjoyed the atmosphere as well!
Definitely need to try this place people. Honeslty super different dessert then usually places. It's Hungarian transylvania pastry. Almost like a cinnamon dessert. & it's amazing because it's like a spiral & you can rip off the pieces & eat. & you can get like what I got which was the classic with ice cream & Nutella & you can add fruits in it.

I discovered chimney cakes at Christmas markets in Europe, & once I found out there was a shop featuring them in Montreal, I couldn't wait to go. My husband & I went twice while visiting the city, & it was amazing & delicious each time. Definitely a highlight of our trip & a delectable dessert not to be missed! Our favorite is the cinnamon & sugar with Nutella. Yum!
I went here yesterday & shared a dessert with my friends. If you're hungry, you can get one per person, but if you're here to taste, one original was good enough to share between 3 people. We ordered the pistachio dressing with the pistachio sauce & it tasted great! It came out nice & hot & I didn't find it too sweet. The person who served us was very welcoming & even gave us a cute little introduction & history of the dessert (though I think Transylvania is in Romania not Hungary). Overall, I would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Absolutely delicious & awesome place! My friends & I went in very last minute (about 15 minutes before closing), & the worker was super friendly & even explained to us tourists about what the dessert was & their recommendations. We got the cinnamon coating with pistachio filling, & it was absolutely delicious! The outside was crunchy, but the inside was chewy & warm. It had unique flavours & a large portion that all three of us couldn't finish. Definitely worth the visit & would come back again to try their other flavours. One of my favourite dessert places in Montreal!
I tried both the chimney cake & an ice cream with the special cone. For the cake you should wait 5 mins for the sugar to harden before eating it. Then it has a deliciously fluffy interior with a crunchy sweet topping. My favourite is the traditional with walnut, but they offer different variations. It's not very heavy on the stomach so would be a perfect dessert after dinner. I've never seen an ice cream cone like the ones they sell here, so I had to give it a try. The combination of cone, ice-cream & toppings are deliciously sweet. The staff happily explain what a chimney cake is & are traditionally trained. You can even watch them make it!
Original pastry, everything looks good & just tastes so good, staff very friendly & helpful to order the right dessert, it's all good. To be recommended without reservations.
Coup de coeur ! Tout en se dirigeant vers notre restaurant pour le souper, nous sommes tombés sur cette belle pâtisserie. L'odeur nous a convaincu d'y entrer. Nous avons été charmé par l'accueil, le garçon a pris le temps de bien nous expliquer l'origine de son produit & sa conception. Tout est fait devant vos yeux c'est tout à fait délicieux. Sincèrement un dessert réconfortant.
