In addition to being imported directly from Japan, fresh fish is also acquired from all over the world. Our experienced Chefs meticulously select fish that suit the season, and use additional methods when necessary to maximize its umami (“delicious taste”). We make it possible to indulge in Edomae sushi, as if you were in Japan.
We commit to serving fresh dishes of the highest quality, whilst also offering multi-sensory entertainment.
In addition to quality food, we also wish you to experience Japanese culture. So, special attention is given to using authentic dining ware and cooking tools. We value your time with us and wish for it to be a live, interactive experience. We welcome you with Omotenashi (the Japanese philosophy of hospitality).

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary here with our dear friend & had an unforgettable experience. The hospitality was exceptional, the service was seamless, & the attention to detail was impeccable. Each course was beautifully prepared, & the flavors made us feel as though we were dining in Japan. The entire experience was remarkable, & we look forward to visiting again.
Une expérience culinaire parfaite. Des plats délicieux, un spectacle incroyable & un choix d'alcool complémentant à merveille la nourriture. Malgré la grande quantité de plats, on ne termine pas le repas en ayant l'impression d'être gavé. Rythme assez rapide entre chaque plat. Une expérience à essayer absolument!
We came for lunch service. Where do I start? It was a first for me, my husband & my friend to eat there. The food oh my god. One sushi made me teary-eyed. It was easily the best one I've had- i mean, we'd get sushi here & there but never like this: Expertly prepped, patiently explained to us per serving. The atmosphere was serene- we enjoyed it very much. Definitely coming back :)
Highly rated & it's worth it - great experience & a wonderful occasion to re-discover classics, but elevated by craftmanship & the choice of ingredients, as well as dishes less frequently found on the the menus of Japanese restaurants here !
We had a wonderful time as beautifully crafted dishes were served one after another like a show. The chef used seasonal ingredients & prepared each dish right in front of us, making the experience enjoyable both to watch & to taste. The flavors were perfect, & despite being in Montreal, the restaurant made me feel nostalgic for the tastes of my hometown. It's truly a remarkable place.

an amazing, authentic flashback to the wonderful times we had in japan. experience was immersive, savory & a skillful display of plating & serving. beyond exceptional quality, quantity was well balanced & pace was great to sustain eating experience without stretching it too long. add to your to-do's if you've never been, we have added it to our go-to's.
My fiancé & I made reservations for lunch & couldn't have been happier with our choice. The food quality was amazing & the presentation was even better. They were able to make accommodations for an allergy as well. Would definitely come back when we have a chance.

This is an amazing place to have a intimate & varied omakase experience. The food is great & quite abundant, you won't be hungry when you leave. The atmosphere & experience that comes with the tasting is the reason the price is a little hefty, but still worth it if you come to enjoy both the food & the interaction. Would recommend to anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion!
I'll give you the five star because to my experience was amazing. How were I'm not expert in this type of Japanese restaurant, but I definitely experienced new flavors. They were welcoming & generally, the service was exclusive.
A transcendent dining experience at Sushi Okeya Kyujiro
Dining at Sushi Okeya Kyujiro was nothing short of a revelation. The 25-course omakase unfolded like a meticulously choreographed performance - each dish a delicate balance of flavor, texture, & visual poetry. The artistry in the preparation was so captivating that I often found myself completely absorbed in the moment, forgetting to take photographs. In truth, it felt almost intrusive to interrupt the serene precision & reverence with which the chefs approached their craft.
Every plate was a miniature masterpiece - beautifully presented, perfectly timed, & imbued with a quiet sense of ceremony. The staff demonstrated an impeccable standard of professionalism: attentive yet unobtrusive, polished yet warm.
An unforgettable experience that lingers long after the final bite. If you appreciate the art of Japanese cuisine, this is an absolute must-visit. A dining experience I'll remember for a long time.

Quelle expérience incroyable, comme être au Japon le temps d'un repas! Je recommande vivement le brunch omakase offert du vendredi au dimanche qui est à une fraction du prix du souper.
I had big expectations for the only omakase in town but left disappointed. The drink menu was reduced to just two basic bottled cocktails, which felt out of place. The dishes lacked originality or refinement, & the dessert was just as underwhelming. Overall, an ordinary experience not worth the hype.
