sushi(41) omakase(36) chef(35) japanese(35) japan(32) detail(18) dishes(17) quality(17) ingredient(17) recommend(17) unique(17) fish(14)J'ai absolument adoré mon expérience. J'ai beaucoup appris sur la culture japonaise. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec un service impeccable qui s'est poursuivi tout au long de la soirée. Je recommande cette expérience à tous!
Coming from NYC i know what a good omakase feels like. Still, the theatrics & meticulousness, the music & the variety of flavors & spacing makes this bounds above the rest. I felt like i was eating food in like a scene from the Legend of Zelda or something along the like. Apparently it was inspired & modeled after circus de soleil, just a culinary version. An amazing olfactory, auditory & culinary journey.
Went here for lunch-easier to book than dinner. $175 per person, & with drinks, tax, & tip, it came out to about $500 for two.
Food: Excellent quality. Started with warm fish appetizers & a small bowl of chawanmushi-perfect way to ease into the meal. Sushi was fresh, well-balanced, & served with warm, properly portioned rice. Only letdown was the dessert: the yuzu cake's crust overwhelmed the flavor. Felt more like a Western-style dessert, not quite in line with the rest of the experience.
Ambience: The space is small & well-maintained, but the high stools are not very comfortable-especially for anyone with mobility issues. A sunken chef's counter with standard chairs would've made a big difference.
Service: Very professional & well-rehearsed-almost theatrical, in a fun way. However, the pacing was fast. The entire 15-course omakase wrapped up in about an hour, which felt a bit rushed compared to the more leisurely two-hour meals I'm used to.
Still, the overall quality was way ahead of places like sushi place right next to it.(I know I probably shouldn't even compare these two together😂 but hey they are in the same price range) I'd happily come back to try the dinner service.
Amazing experience. Food was memorable. Service was beyond perfect. Perfect place for a special occasion. Make sure you have arrive on time as each bite is prepared on a schedule. Price is around 500 per person with the tip & sharing a small bottle of sake
This is a sushi experience that you read about. Set menu. Everybody gets the same thing. Quality, presentation, & service was all five star.
You won't forget an evening spent here, that's a promise! True theatrical omakase, interacting with the chef & his team up close as they prepare countless courses with absolute artistry. Small intimate stage, a really magical experience.
