Oh!
I went to this restaurant & ordered takeout. To my surprise, they handed me the food in cups/plates without any kind of bag or proper packaging for transport. When I asked for a bag or container to take it, I was informed that I would have to pay an additional cost for the packaging.
I find it unprofessional that a takeout order does not include basic packaging, or that it is not clearly communicated before charging extra. This makes the experience uncomfortable & gives the impression of a lack of organization & consideration for the customer.
I hope they can improve this aspect, as the service experience is just as important as the food.
So if you go to the restaurant, bring your own bag…

Pros: The dumplings were pretty good, & I liked they used handmade wrappers. Cons: we ordered the cucumber salad & it was disgusting. I was born & grew up in China, I know what a cucumber salad is supposed to taste like, which is usually garlicky or sour & spicy & savoury from the inclusion of soy sauce. Their cucumber salad tasted like dessert, so sweet & covered in sugar it gave me a toothache after two bites. It had no other flavour than sweet, it made me wonder if the chef was sick because I can't understand how a healthy Chinese person would make something this inedible & serve it to the public. Neither me nor my partner could stomach the taste so we asked if we could send it back or trade it for another dish of an equivalent value. I explained in Chinese to the owner that this is not at all what I thought we were ordering, it tastes nothing like the Chinese cucumber salads I've been eating my whole life, & if I had known it would taste like this, i would have never gone for it. She responded with a'no way, everyone has their own palate' which is a hilarious statement BC you are running a Chinese restaurant where people expect to eat Chinese food that tastes like Chinese people made it, not white Canadians who don't know what they're doing. & the straight up denial & deflection, from one Chinese person to another, was quite shocking. I felt I had to write a review here because people should know before they order this awful awful dish.
Have visited this restaurant often, came again after couple years, average food! The lady demanded & fought with me over tips, tipping is optional not mandatory & wanted more than 10% for serving 1 dish?
In the end almost made me pay 15% I held my ground on 10%, never ever have I been forced to this end very disappointing experience
