Welcome to Oh! Dumplings restaurant. Oh! Dumplings offers fresh handmade dumplings that come in a great variety of flavors. Our original dishes are freshly prepared with secret recipes that provide an authentic and unique taste. We are committed to our food quality and dining experience.
Overall, Oh Dumplings in Chinatown Montreal is described as a lively spot offering fresh, handmade dumplings, flavorful mains, and generous portions at reasonable prices. The menu earns praise for variety and quality, from pork and chives dumplings to General Tao chicken, noodles, fried rice, and soups, with many noting that orders arrive hot and fast when the staff are on the ball. Attentive service helps, and some visits are described as among the best meals with friendly staff and a cozy vibe, but others mention slow service, understaffing, and long waits that dampen the experience, along with a few dishes that fall short such as a cucumber salad that proved too sweet. In short, the restaurant is seen as a strong value for dumplings lovers, delivering authentic flavors, big portions, and a generally positive vibe, with caveats about peak hours and consistency.
We decided to try Oh Dumplings in Chinatown, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.
First thing to point out the service was very slow. We took into consideration that there were other people at the restaurant, but the delays were still hard to justify. Our order included Beef & Coriander Dumplings, Fish & Coriander Dumplings, General Tao Chicken, Chicken Noodles, Vegetable Fried Rice, & Wonton Soup.
The dumplings came out after about 15-20 minutes, followed by the General Tao shortly after. But then, we waited around 40-45 minutes for the rest of our food. By the time the noodles & fried rice arrived, we had already finished the dumplings & General Tao, sitting at an empty table for almost an hour just waiting for the rest. At that point, we honestly lost our appetite.
The food itself is okay nothing mind-blowing but decent. The dumplings were flavorful, especially with the coriander touch. The General Tao was on the sweeter side, which may not be for everyone. The fried rice & noodles were fine, but after waiting so long, we didn't really enjoy them as much as we could have.
Overall if you have patience & time to spare, the food is passable, but nothing about the taste justifies that long of a wait. We likely won't be returning anytime soon unless they improve the service speed.

Got a lamb skewer, a few bowl of noodles & soup, & pork chives dumplings pan fried with chilli oil & peanut sauce. Lamb skewer was good with great flavour & moist. The noodle soup wasn't overly salty & the soup base was flavourful while it didn't make me thirsty, the dumplings were incredibly flavourful & the extra sauces provided incredible amount of variety in taste. Overall great experience!
The handmade fresh dumplings are amazing. I'd definitely recommend for anyone to stop by & try. They even offer some frozen dumplings you can buy & cook yourself.
The dumplings here are great. I tried the classic pork & chive option, & was happy with what I received. For a low price, you receive plenty of yummy dumplings & good service. Hoping to return again when I visit Montreal next.
This is our go to when we are in the area!!! The dumplings are so tasty, the beef fried noodles are yummy. Always very satisfying, fast & great service. Just the water jugs are a bit sketchy.
