Excellent bakery/pastry shop. The selection of pastries & cakes is vast. The quantity of products offered is excellent. They also offer a selection of sandwiches. You can also order a coffee to your liking (different types of milk are available). You can eat in. In the summer, there's a terrace. The staff is friendly & efficient. I highly recommend Ô Petit Paris. Excellent value for money.
Possibly the best croissant I've eaten anywhere... ever: refers to the plain croissant. The croissant déjeuner (a sandwich) was quite tasty & hearty. The young man who served us was very polite & attentive, with service above & beyond expectations (especially for an over-the-counter style café). A new friend in Montréal recommended the place to us - I see why she loves it. I even had a fun & friendly conversation with one of the other patrons (a local gentleman) while we waited in line. Maybe they could use a little more seating, but a lot of locals seem to come to order their baguettes, etc. to go. Overall it was a wonderful experience.
Lovely vibe in the cafe. Delicious pastry & good coffee. A bit expensive pastry given the size & portion.
A cozy Parisian-style café in Montreal! Their bread is irresistible, desserts are divine, & the warm, charming vibe makes it perfect for a relaxed treat or coffee break. Absolutely amazing!
Incredible, not all the baristas know how to prepare a simple coffe/ cafe espresso. I am pretty sure they need to improve a lot in this aspect. It's so easy, but they don't get it. On the top, the little espresso is so expensive & for nothing because the quality is not the best.
Another observation-, the black gloves need to be changed often, guys. Once you touch money & counter, is better use a new pair. It helps a lot to avoid contamination, & its SAFE FOR CUSTOMERS
Thanks. MERCI.
(See in picture the density of the coffee ☕?)
After arriving in Montreal, a local recommended Au Petit Paris for authentic Parisian pastries. Located on Mont-Royal Avenue, a vibrant pedestrian street full of cafes & restaurants, the bakery immediately impresses with its elegant interior & beautifully displayed, refined pastries.
The staff behind the counter were friendly, welcoming, & attentive, answering questions about the ingredients. They offer a wide variety of items, including cannelli, kouign-amann, fruit tarts, & cruffins. I tried a passion fruit cruffin ($4.00 CAD), kouign-amann ($4.30 CAD), & a Chocolate Noisette (~$4.00 CAD).
The Chocolate Noisette was excellent-crispy outside & soft, flavorful inside. The passion fruit cruffin was also very good, with a subtle fruit flavor & a tender texture. The kouign-amann, however, wasn't my favorite; it was too crispy & crunchy throughout, but lacked softness inside, & I prefer the ones at Kouign-Amann Bakery right down the avenue.
There are a few small tables inside, & on the day I visited, it wasn't crowded. There's also a restroom for customers. Overall, the staff are friendly, the pastries are elegant & refined, & I enjoyed my visit. I would definitely return & recommend this bakery.
This is one of Montreal's unique cafés. It's a bit busy, located right in the heart of Mont-Royal. When you enter, you wait in line, then choose your confectionery, bread, croissants, cold sandwiches, or other treats, along with your drink. The cappuccino was ordinary, but the pain suisse was extraordinarily good. The staff are polite & helpful. Seating is limited indoors (mainly two-chair tables), but they also have an outdoor area (I visited in summer). I gave 4 stars, as I reserve 5 stars for truly special places. If you're nearby, definitely check it out!
