Already the rage in Europe, Australia, L.A. and New York, O.NOIR is Canada’s first-ever restaurant that invites you to experience food, drink and conversation like never before IN THE DARK! It’s a sensual dining experience like no other. When you eat without your sight, your remaining senses are heightened to savour the smell and taste of food. O.NOIR does more than just fire the imagination and stimulate the senses. After a few hours in complete darkness (that’s right, no flashlights, matches, cell phones, cigarette lighters or luminous watches), customers gain a better understanding of what it’s like to be blind just like the restaurants’ entire wait staff. O.NOIR – IT’S BETTER IN THE DARK.
O.Noir offers a one of a kind dining experience in complete darkness, heightening the senses with attentive service, flavorful dishes and a surprise menu that adds playful mystery, making it a memorable choice for couples or groups, where conversation and discovery are part of the meal.
Very unique experience, worth the price. The complete darkness is slightly unsettling at first but once you adjust to it it's super cool & interesting. Definitely recommend!

Excellent service.
The overall experience was great ! Eating in the dark is one thing, but having to live for an hour & a half in the dark is even worse ! The food was good (it might have been perfect, but being that you don't actually see it, it doesn't feel as good) & the house drinks were perfect ! Would definitely recommend.
Only reason for it being 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. It is very expensive for what you get, plate sizes are ok but you definitely pay for the experience more than anything else.

Belle initiative! Je recommande!
Fantastic experience. The food is good & I'm sure it would have tasted even better if I could have seen it. You have to rely on your sense of smell & taste, never mind the presentation since you cannot see ANYTHING.
I had the beef tartare (great!) the challenge is to manage to find & put the meat on the toast! The duck (also great but since it was a surprise I didn't know what it was until I was told, that's funny since I would have recognized duck had I been able to see it. dessert was good.
What really stands out is the service & the whole experience. It is true that people can get pretty loud, but I'm not sure if it is louder that a regular restaurant or if you just notice it more since all you can focus on is sound.
I do recommend it to anyone who wants to see what its like be visually impaired for a couple of hours, you will also be flabbergasted by how well they serve your plates, wine & remember where everything is on your table. each waiter has several other table to serve & there are 2-3 waiters walking around quite fast & not bumping into each other.. all the while you are having difficulty finding remembering where you put your own fork!
An experience like no other. I would definately recommend this restaurant & will definately being going back again. I was a bit nervous being led into the pitch dark room at first. However, after a very short time, your other senses kick in. It is really hard to describe the experience in short, except for WOW !!!
The food was really good & the service is excellent.
