Already the rage in Europe, Australia, L.A. and New York, O.NOIR is Canada’s first-ever restaurant that invites you to experience food, drink and conversation like never before IN THE DARK! It’s a sensual dining experience like no other. When you eat without your sight, your remaining senses are heightened to savour the smell and taste of food. O.NOIR does more than just fire the imagination and stimulate the senses. After a few hours in complete darkness (that’s right, no flashlights, matches, cell phones, cigarette lighters or luminous watches), customers gain a better understanding of what it’s like to be blind just like the restaurants’ entire wait staff. Les premières minutes sont vraiment déroutantes, mais on finit par s'habituer au noir de l'environnement rapidement. C'était très sympa d'essayer de deviner ce que contenaient nos plats "surprise" ! Le personnel est super accueillant & très à l'écoute !

via LibroCela peut être perturbant, surtout au début. Petit mal de crâne pour ma part mais une fois qu'on s'habitue c'est que du fun. Je recommande d'au moins tester cette expérience !

Ne cherchez pas de miette de lumière! Seule critique: les entrées sont trop copieuses donc je n'aurais pas dû prendre le 4 services.

Loved it.
There was a very loud group of 4 next to us (this one dude took out his phone numerous times, & kept literally shouting about THERE'S POLENTA IN THIS, RIGHT!? I'LL BET TEN BUCKS THERE'S POLENTA IN THIS, shut the fuck up we all know what polenta tastes like) that kinda dimmed the experience but I look forward to going when there are no assholes around.
To this group & person I hope you recognize yourselves, you are an annoying quatuor of rude, terrible human beings & I hope to God you never reproduce, although guessing your age that might be too late. You were obnoxious, classless, & acted like no one else was trying to enjoy their meals & conversations.
Otherwise I will definitely be back to O Noir, the whole experience was absolutely lovely, the staff was impeccable, & the food was great! I refuse to give less than 5 stars for something you had no control over.

via LibroWe had a fantastic experience! Everyone should eat here at least once in their life. It gave us a greater appreciation for our sight, & especially how it contributes to the food that we eat. Everyone there was pleasant & accommodating; we had several allergies which all staff took very seriously. The food & drinks were delicious. 10/10!
