Already the rage in Europe, Australia, L.A. and New York, O.NOIR is Canada’s first-ever restaurant that invites you to experience food, drink and conversation like never before IN THE DARK! It’s a sensual dining experience like no other. When you eat without your sight, your remaining senses are heightened to savour the smell and taste of food. O.NOIR does more than just fire the imagination and stimulate the senses. After a few hours in complete darkness (that’s right, no flashlights, matches, cell phones, cigarette lighters or luminous watches), customers gain a better understanding of what it’s like to be blind just like the restaurants’ entire wait staff. What an unforgettable experience! We went to O'Noir as a family & it was truly one of the most unique dining experiences we've ever had. Dining in complete darkness really heightens your senses & makes you appreciate food in a whole new way.
The staff were absolutely amazing, kind, professional & incredibly impressive. We were especially moved by the visually impaired team members who guided us with such confidence & care. The food was delicious, & the whole experience left a lasting impression on all of us. Highly recommend if you're looking for something different & meaningful.View more

We had an absolutely incredible experience at this restaurant! Dining in complete darkness is something I highly recommend for people to try. We ordered the surprise menu items including surprise mocktails. The flavours of the food & drinks were top notch & the portions were large & filling. Sammy our server, was friendly & did everything he could to make our experience wonderful! He gave clear directions & did everything he could to make us feel comfortable. It was an overall amazing experience & I can't wait to do it again!View more

This was an absolutely incredible experience! After working for almost 25 years with adults & children with different disabilities, it was amazing to experience first hand the realities that some people face. We are so lucky to have our vision. All I can say is.. if you visit Montreal, you MUST eat here! Prior to our visit I did read some reviews & yes it is a bit chilly inside so make sure you're dressed warm enough so you can enjoy, thankfully I was prepared as I hate being cold. I have to say, it was a different but amazing meal experience. We both order four course meal each which I highly recommend. Our server Fey did a great job guiding us & serving us. Me & my husband had a great time there with unforgettable life changing experience. I'm glad my husband brought me here, smart choice he did!View more
via LibroThis really is a unique experience. Taking the term "blind tasting" to a whole new level. We were very impressed by everything, start to finish. We did not decide to go with surprise meals. Everything we ordered was delicious. We were both excited for our desserts, but when they arrived, it was the "surprise" option & not the dishes we had selected. We didn't mention it because we felt it would be rude. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing experience & delicious food! I had been about 10 years ago so I decided to bring my teenaged children this time. Wow - the food has improved dramatically. Big portions. I had the tuna appetizer & the slow cooked roast beef. Both were excellent. The room was complete darkness. You are unable to see anything. Sounded liked the place was busy & people were enjoying themselves. Would definitely visit again

What an awesome experience this was! There's nothing like it anywhere in the World! The entire service is in the dark, & you really can't see anything! Every server working here is legally blind, & it's so impressive.
Our server Fe was such an all star all night. His story is so gut wrenching, but regardless, he was spirited, outgoing, & professional. The food was really good, & I highly recommend doing the "surprise" menu.
If you're looking to venture out & try something unique, then this is the place for you! The food, the atmosphere, & the outstanding customer service was just incredible! Two thumbs way up to Binky, Gabriel an our bartender Laryssa for being such amazing hosts!
