Review Summary

Ô Four is a popular downtown Montreal spot known for authentic Lebanese breakfast and generous portions at a good price. Reviews highlight a broad menu with manakeesh, fatteh, foul, balila, eggs, laham bi ajeen, labneh, hummus, falafel, shawarma, and wraps, with many calling the bread fresh and the flavors comforting and authentic. The atmosphere is described as clean and welcoming, with friendly staff and efficient service, though a few visits are noted for slower service or incidents at the cash register. Some criticism centers on occasional imbalanced flavors such as overly sour bean dishes and, in a few cases, questions about halal practice when pork is prepared near halal meats. Overall, the restaurant is seen as a dependable, affordable choice for Lebanese fare and brunch in Montreal, offering rich experiences and several standout items, while acknowledging that experiences can vary by visit.

This place always hits the spot.
Its hard to find Lebanese food that actually tastes like home. The staff is always nice & accommodating, food is well priced, especially for its location in the heart of centre ville.

I got a cheese kaake
A lhame be ajin
Eggs with Sujuk
Balila/hummus
& a variety of manakeesh

They were all well made & tasty.
Recommend this spot for every Lebanese food lover.
I come by every time I am in Montreal.

The bean dishes were so excessively sour that they were genuinely unpleasant! At the start of brunch, we politely explained that the lemon was overpowering every bean dish to the point of upsetting our stomachs. We were met with a sarcastic,'Ohhh, you must not like Lebanese then?!' & a judgmental stare. Out of the three bean dishes, she replaced the Fatteh with one slightly less acidic. Her attitude made us feel pretty annoyed & uncomfortable.

Here's where I'm about to get real with you : if the strategy is to purposely over acidify the food to discourage guests from consuming'too much' at your resto, that's a cost-cutting business choice, but at least own it! Don't call it'all you can eat brunch' while serving dishes that are borderline inedible & then try to make customers feel bad for hinting at replacements at the beginning of their brunch when you should feel ashamed to even serve such food in the first place!

& please, trying to gaslight me as if I don't know what Lebanese food is supposed to taste like? You're saying that to someone who actually knows how to cook & understands the cuisine. I know the difference between bright acidity & total imbalance. When every bean dish tastes aggressively sour & one-note, that's not Lebanese, that's cheap execution.

Also, trash talking your customers at the register because you assume they don't understand the language is extremely unprofessional! It doesn't protect your image, it reinforces the criticism I'm making here. I'm ashamed for your lack of shame & will not be returning.

2 stars because I'm a good person but just know you deserve 1.

Some of the best Middle Eastern food I've had since traveling in Bahrain, Kuwait, & Tunisia. Not a fancy or expensive place. Just great food at a great price!

A place that actually cares about its costumers 💜🌻
The turkey didn't taste so appealing to me, & i chose not to say anything but the gentleman who was working saw that i didn't finish it, he asked about the reason & offered me something else.
Thank you ô four!

I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews, but the experience was absolutely disappointing. The staff were rude & unhelpful, barely acknowledging us when we walked in, & there were no other customers. The person at the counter couldn't explain anything on the menu, & the item we wanted was unavailable. The atmosphere felt completely unwelcoming.

The food was bland & overpriced - two pieces of bread with no dip, overcooked eggs, & plain vegetables for over $17. The only decent item was the olives, which is honestly embarrassing for the price. When we asked for water, we were handed a paper cup to fill at what looked like a hand-washing sink - completely absurd & insulting.

I can't understand where the positive reviews came from. Based on what we experienced, it seems the owner has no intention of addressing these issues, & the restaurant appears to cater only to a specific crowd. This was by far the worst service & food I've encountered in Montreal. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
