Nora Gray gives Italy a run for its money. The pasta is impeccable, like someone's nonna is in the kitchen but not a regular nonna, a cool nonna. The perfect balance of simple & unexpected. Absolutely stunning every single time. Even though the pasta is the star of the show, the secondi dishes also never fail to impress. Last night's scallops were cooked to perfection. Wine recommendations consistently immaculate, exciting, recommended with a daring confidence that you'll simply adore. The hostess, Shelby, is delightful & I've never had a less than excellent waiter. Service & dining a 10/10. This spot is easily one of the best restaurants in Montreal. The perfect date spot.View more

The staff, decor & ambiance created a charming & elegant feeling. Everything from the cocktails we had(Negroni Sbagliado & Gimlet) to the amazing food (Burrata Salad, Porc, Anolini) to the dessert(affogato) was presented with attention to detail & high quality ingredients. The duck breast was okay, nothing that wowed me. The pasta tasted amazing, but it was way undercooked. We waited for the food for over an hour. We ordered some food that never came. We had to ask for the bill twice. The music was way too loud as well. For the premium price the portion of food is very small. I am not too impressed overall.View more

We were very much looking forward to our first experience of this highly regarded restaurant. Unfortunately, the evening was an unexpected disappointment. Our server had little interest in us- it was 15 minutes after we had been seated before she stopped by the table to take our drink order, & only because we approached her. One drink came a few minutes later, the other did not show up until, after ten minutes, we sought her out again. For our main course, we ordered the steak. It came too rare & was incredibly tough- at $140, it was a gouge. After struggling with it fir gen minutes, we tracked down the server again to ask her to return it to the kitchen. The place has charm, & I know from friends whose view I trust that, on a good night, it provides a wonderful experience. But this night was a let down, at least for us.View more

Really wanted to give this place 5 stars. Everything about the meal was excellent, until the final dish. We ordered a pork chop to share, & half of it was fat. We brought that to the attention of our waiter, who told us "that's how it's served" & proceeded to be a bit snippy the rest of the meal. Well, damn, son. Lovely bottle of wine, though.View more

Superb food: quality, quantity & flavour. I felt like I was eating in Italy again. Service was also excellent. The atmosphere is a bit crowded, some tables very close, but that wouldn't stop me from going back. A great restaurant.View more
