The bar and service are repeatedly praised for attentiveness and personality, making for memorable evenings at the counter or dining tables. Service by Emily was fantastic! The cocktails were beautifully crafted & picture perfect. A great selection of sake. We went with our servers recommendation & had a blind tasting the Udon with Benito was a hit! The scallop with caviar was a delight & the dessert dulce de lecce did not disappoint. Just to name a few & it was all memorable! The bartender came up & made some suggestions as well. The drinks were a hit! It was nice to see the staff immersed in our experience. A great vibe we can't wait to come back!
Beautiful spot! We sat at the kitchen bar & had delicious bespoke cocktails.
All the staff are lovely. We were taken care of by Ben & Chef Michelangelo who are both master of their craft.
Def will return & recommend this place! A must try.
Nikkei has certainly delivered to the true Japanese tradition with Peruvian ingredients. The Aburi Nigiri with fillet mignon is sublime & we stopped at licking the plate. However our table manners went out the door when we finished the sashimi-style tiradito Nikkei & we could not resist slurping the leche de tigre left in the dish (trying to hide from the good looking afluent crowd which was as mixed as the food itself). The kumquat chilcano was the perfect drink to start with, & as Negroni has been my go-to apperitif since I had it in Italy many years ago, I had to try the Millonaire's Negroni.......WOW!!! This is without doubt my new favourite! How to describe it? Negroni on steroids that puts any negroni attempt to shame. It is like comparing a fiat500 & a ferrari.
We finish with the Sopa Sepia & the Ribu arequipeño.....here you need to forget you mom telling you DONT EAT with you fingers.... the ribs taste much better with you fingers...... then wash your hands, regain your posture & tell your neighbour at the chef counter they should try it too.
Nikkei was a great experience overall! The tasting menu was scrumptious. Interesting fusion between Japanese & Peruvian cuisines. Cocktails are also amazing.
A voir le nombre d’avis, ce restaurant s’est rapidement taillé une place sur la triste rue Laurier qui voit tous ses commerces fermés un après l’autre.
D’abord, une très belle décoration dans l’esprit de la fusion japonaise & péruvienne avec de beaux clins d’œil en décoration.
Le menu est tellement éclectique que le vin est moins de mise & il se trouve que justement, Nikkei propose de très beaux cocktails & quelques propositions originales.
Puis la bouffe est juste impeccable, du poisson au bœuf, c’est un sans-faute ce soir là en cuisine.
Fortement recommandé mais ça va vous coûter cher pour une très belle soirée dans une atmosphère urbaine. $180 pour deux avec cocktails, taxes & service.
Je trouve que l’endroit est super beau & propre. Le service était bien aussi. Par contre, nous avons pas appréciez la nourriture. Je trouve que le rapport qualité prix n’y était pas. Nous avons décidé de terminé le souper chez nous.

Amazing japanese peruvian fusion cuisine! This is our second time at Nikkei, & the food, staff & ambience are top notch! Every bite is an explosion of flavour in our mouth! Truthfully food orgasm experience! Can't wait to return!
