We got too many of the dishes at the same time, it spoiled the taste of the cod & the beef was colder than it should have been. We told the manager afterwards & he took the feedback well.
The menu is made to be share but some of the dishes were difficult as they only bring normal cutlery instead of serving spoons, no bowl for a dish with broth.
The wine is overpriced & their selection is very small.
Look the place is nice & the service is very good. But I didn't like the food at this place. We got 3 dishes. The eels were ok, I mean the fish tasted good but the rice was just too much & too sticky. It overpowered the eels taste & lingered in your mouth. The Pork on the second dish we got was too hard. Like it was hard to eat. & I have my comments about the other stuff I got.
The food is pricey too. Like I got 3 very small dishes & a drink & I paid 120

Great gem of restaurant in the Plateau. Cozy & very chill atmosphere. Great cocktails, & while the menu is not huge, they obviously know how to create Nikkei (Japanese / Peruvian fusion) dishes full of flavour, freshness & colour. Our host, Facundo, & his crew made some wonderful meal suggestions, & the service was friendly & great. Looking forward to my next visit!
What a wonderful experience! Super flavorful dishes & incredibly attentive & friendly service! Especially Victor behind the sushi counter, who went above & beyond 🥹✨ I'd highly recommend the maracuya pisco which was super tasty & the cocoviche was unique & fantastic!!
Attentive service, well curated dishes with good flavour profiles & great bar. Music is not too loud & good ambiance for business, casual catch up with friends or a date night.
Absolutely loved the cocktails they developed in honour of la semaine de la martinique gourmande. The decor & ambiance are pretty nice, but it is very cold inside. We had a scallops Japanese curry, which was delicious, but very small portion prices are relatively high for how much food you get. The other dishes were not very memorable. would maybe still try again, depending on the menu they have / change out

Aji-amarillo leche des tigres on their dish just made your taste buds pop. What a beautiful plating & fusion of Peruvian & Japanese cuisine. All small dishes, nice & relaxed with an open kitchen where you can sit & watch all their wonderful work.
Each mouthful is better than the last with flavours,, textures, colours all come together to say wow!
Youthful or old you will find the best ceviche & great service.
I dont drink but they have a big beautiful bar where you see great drinks coming out with decorations you see in a tropical paradise.
In a day where all restaurants are expensive & all do the same thing & leave you feeling dissatisfied, this place is such a wonderful point of contrast & excellence. You have to try it & you will enjoy it.
I would be happy to pay twice the price for the quality of food, service & enjoyment that I got that evening!
Nikkei is a must try when you are in Montreal. A creative fusion of Peruvian & Japanese cuisine turned out to be the perfect marriage. Our group of 7 decided to order 3 tasting menus that contained 6 dishes of the chef's selection & the chef hit on every single dish. Not only was it an incredible bargain at $63 CAD per person, the meal was also the best we had during our visit. The filet skewers (Yakiton de Res) were perfectly cooked, the mushroom ceviche proved to be the most interesting & pleasant surprise. The Chirashi Cevichado had the most luscious & thick yellowtail, tuna & salmon sashimi slices over a bed of sushi rice & an outstanding leech de Tigre (Tiger's Milk) marinade. We fought over the last piece of unagi & the pork hamburguesitas were so juicy & fun to eat. Another super creative & unsuspecting favorite was the Pinku Bitsu, thinly sliced beets in an incredible pickled green onion vinaigrette. The Lomito Saltado, which was the closest thing to a main course, delivered a spectacular combination of meat & potatoes with an asian flair that I will not soon forget.
The cocktails were also superb! We indulged on the Koraku, Yamaji, Tokyo Sour, Nikkeroni (their take on the Negroni) & the Ginger Maracuya Sour. Each was more creative & tastier than the next. The dessert, a salted caramel with a torched marshmallow on top was the perfect way to complete the meal. Chloe took wonderful care of us while we watched the foot traffic go by in the quaint neighborhood not far from down town. As stated from the outset, Nikkei is a must when you are here!
This restaurant offers tapas in a fantastic fusion of Peruvian & Japanese cuisine, along with a delightful selection of cocktails.
We tried serveral small dishes & we particularly enjoyed the incredible mix of flavors of the Lomito Saltado. We also loved the attention to detail, like the adorable origami crane pinned to the Sakaya cocktail we ordered-it was not only a charming touch but also delicious!
For dessert, we had the'Suspiro Nikkei,' & it was nothing short of a revelation. The creative combination of dulce de leche & miso flavors wowed us.
The lively decor enhanced our experience, creating a vibrant atmosphere that was both inviting & fun. Furthermore, The service was friendly & efficient.
The word that describes it: incredible! We loved the experience, the food was perfectly balanced, you could feel the explosion of flavors in your mouth, the service was too good, the drinks incredible, unique cocktails & if you are like me & cannot tolerate the exaggerated amounts of sugar they use in Canada for desserts, I promise you will not regret it. Their desserts were perfectly balanced, I loved them! Unfortunately, I don't have many photos of the dishes since I was so focused on eating that I forgot!

Just had an absolutely impeccable meal here. Beautifully decorated, open kitchen tapas restaurant, we had 8 dishes & they were all delicious. Service can be optimized but the food is truly the star of the show here. Will absolutely return!
Me & my girlfriend tried this restaurant, & we really enjoyed it. It's a small, cozy place with good service & tasty food. In my opinion, it's a bit pricey, but I'm not familiar with tapas places-we paid $200 including tax & tip. We shared five dishes & had two cocktails. I didn't like one of the cocktails, but they were happy to switch it for a beer with no issues. The service was great; they even explained some of the dishes, which was really cool.
A hidden gem in Montreal worth discovering. Beautifully created dishes inspired from Peruvian & Japanese cuisine. Unique dishes, great vibes, friendly service.

My friends & I wanted to try a new tapas place & saw this one had some good ratings. I must say price is Very HIGH for what it is & the food isn't that good. It's quite salty & some weird mix that needs to be worked on. I liked maybe 2 out of the 8 dishes & I am someone who likes pretty much everything in food. Drinks were fine, they tasted quite good & service was very good. Our waitress was great, attentive & nice. The atmosphere & ambiance were great too, good lighting, very clean, & nice decorations.
I visited this Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant about three weeks ago & tried their "MTL à Table" discovery menu. The food was excellent-beautifully presented & full of flavor-but it is definitely on the pricier side compared to similar restaurants in Montreal offering comparable dishes. While I'd recommend it to friends for the unique fusion experience & quality of the food, I'm unsure if I'd return myself, considering the cost. It's worth a visit if you're looking to try something special & don't mind the splurge!
The fusion between Japanese & Peruvian food was ok, it lacked seasoning, flavor. The dishes either were too sour or felt too spicy & the desserts felt store bought just so sweet. The cocktails did not have the right balance felt too sweet & the other one was watered down as there was too much ice. The service was slow at the beginning it felt that the kitchen staff & servers were a little overwhelmed, they were however very nice & apologetic. Towards the end it felt rushed with our two hour time limit & as they reminded us again even though we had not even had the dessert course. I would not recommend for an intimate date night however could be good for groups as you would have more time to eat & share multiple dishes.
This restaurant was a great surprise! With a Japanese-Peruvian fusion speciality dishes, you can taste different flavors from tiradito & ceviche to curry. The drinks were also very good & the ambiance was perfect. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but the quality of the food compensate! Update: I just tried the special menu Mtl à table & it was delicious!
