Amazing Eastern European/Russian food! Great friendly service, & great ambiance!
Such amazing place to eat Russian food. The service is fantastic. Very recommended. August 9.2025.
Amazing cocktail bar with a russian vibe in Old Port Montréal. They make great classic martinis & mules. Ruslan, our bartender, was very insightful about the cocktails stories & folklore. Blinis, dumplings & zuski for a great cocktail & food pairing. Fun for staff party & friend gatherings.
Unique atmosphere with Incredibly authentic Russian cuisine, my mom from Siberia can attest 🪆 The serving staff is also great & very accommodating. Give it a try!
Already my first'Coup de Coeur' of the year 😍 It's a great restaurant in the Montreal Old Port that serve russian inspiration meals & have signature cocktails. It's a cozy ambiance place with amazing tasteful food. Just look at the pics, i mean! I will come back for sure, please give me a million cheese boats like this everyday haha!
The food is authentic Russian 🪆 food & the service is great. Most of the staff actually speak Russian & are super nice 👍🙂. I would recommend to check their social media feed & go for a special event. We were there for'Maslinitsa' which is a special holiday & they serve delicious 🤤 crapes 🥞 🍯 I don't usually even like sweets but it was delicious. We also had the borscht which was ok, the pelmeni 🥟 with 🍄 were delicious & the drinks 🍻🍷 🍸 were very original as well. Over all great experience well worth checking out. Only negative is that we were seating all the way in the back & it was super hot in the winter ❄?☃? time as I guess people near the entrance must feel a breese. The live music was absolutely great. 🎶 🎷. *The entrance is not easy to find it's actually on the little side street between King 👑 & Queen streets.
Really cool restaurant. Very nice vibe with good songs in Russian. Their cocktails are delicious. I really enjoyed the morse code. The servers were attentive, kind & efficient. I will definitely be returning. The food looked delicious.
Really sick russian place & a nice vibe. Shout out to misha he was really cool & made the experience awesome for my birthday !!! #novokuznetsk
Liked that place! Great cocktails. Food choice is limited to most standard Russian meals. Everything we had was very testy!
Was excited to have Russian & Georgian food again. However, this place was a bit of a disappointment. We arrived & were told that we needed to order quickly as they were having a private event at 930pm, which was lots of time since we arrived at 830pm. However, the server took forever & we were clearly forgotten. we were finally able to flag down someone & placed our order. The mushroom dumplings & the chicken adjika dumplings were good but only lukewarm. The tefteli meatball cheese boat / khachapuri was a fraction of the size of what you see in their Instagram posts with only 3 meatballs & the cheese was still hard & not fully melted. You can see in the video the egg is runny but the cheese is hard & it was difficult to dip the bread as instructed on their menu on how to eat! The donuts were also hard & not sweet enough as a dessert. It was all ok & tasty but because everything wasn't hot, it didn't seem fresh.
A colleague from Russia strongly recommended me to come to Nevski, as the cuisine & ambiance are authentic Russian. I really enjoyed the cheeseboat (spinach & peppers), borscht, & multi-layered cake. The waiters were very attentive & most helpful in guiding me as to the best dishes to sample. The mule (with ginger beer & mint) was so refreshing! I look forward to returning soon!
Me & my partner were very excited to find a place that serves Khachapuri, it was very delicious as expected. We ordered 2 borscht , 2 khachapuri & a pitcher of mule. The mule was very good as well. The borscht was okay. We knew that since the location was in the old port it would be a little pricey but for 2 appetizers, 2 single portions of khachapuri & a pitcher of mule totalled 110$ before tip. The mule was expected price as cocktails in Montréal prices are on par, but 50$ for 2 soups & 2 khachapuri was a bit much, I also ordered the "saucy braised beef & pickle khachapuri" (18$) & it was more like beef bits sparsely covering the small cheese boat. It could have maybe came with a side portion of Russian salad or cabbage, since the size of the khachapuri is comparison to a large slice of pizza. Additionally we even decided to have dessert at home since the bill was already racked up. Unfortunately, We won't be going back.
This Russian restaurant/bar in Old Port offers delicious cuisine at reasonable prices, although the portions are a tad small. The staff's warmth shines through, as they generously offered us complimentary shots. The captivating decor seamlessly blends Russian & Soviet styles, making it a thoroughly enjoyable experience - a solid 5/5.
Nothing outstanding (very basic Russian cuisine - nothing wow) & very little quantity for the high price tag, So it's definitely not worth going here more than one time. But service & atmosphere were really top notch!
love this place, everything about it! Being Russian this is a place that truly shows off the best of the best of Soviet cuisine, but with a modern twist. The vybe, the art, music, even the location all is perfect. I’ve dreamt about a place like this appearing in Montreal. This location is way better than the previous one downtown, more intimate I’d say. It’s good for a date, girls night out, 5 a 7… you name it! Also beyond the food, in my humble opinion they have the best cocktails in Montreal. Thanks to Misha & the rest of the staff for the great service. Cannot wait to be back !
