Probably the best & possibly only place to find Adjaruli Khachapuri in Montreal that I've found. It's the Georgian cheese bread in the boat shape. Definitely modified with extra ingredients & more pizza-like but still delicious!
Olivier salad was good. Pelmeni also good. Love those dishes.
A bit of an'elevated' &'trendy' place, so the price point matches it too, even though these foods originated from a simpler (inexpensive) place.
Lovely staff. Good cocktail menu.
Great option for dinner. Will keep coming back.
Was excited to have Russian & Georgian food again. However, this place was a bit of a disappointment. We arrived & were told that we needed to order quickly as they were having a private event at 930pm, which was lots of time since we arrived at 830pm. However, the server took forever & we were clearly forgotten. we were finally able to flag down someone & placed our order. The mushroom dumplings & the chicken adjika dumplings were good but only lukewarm. The tefteli meatball cheese boat / khachapuri was a fraction of the size of what you see in their Instagram posts with only 3 meatballs & the cheese was still hard & not fully melted. You can see in the video the egg is runny but the cheese is hard & it was difficult to dip the bread as instructed on their menu on how to eat! The donuts were also hard & not sweet enough as a dessert. It was all ok & tasty but because everything wasn't hot, it didn't seem fresh.
Me & my partner were very excited to find a place that serves Khachapuri, it was very delicious as expected. We ordered 2 borscht , 2 khachapuri & a pitcher of mule. The mule was very good as well. The borscht was okay. We knew that since the location was in the old port it would be a little pricey but for 2 appetizers, 2 single portions of khachapuri & a pitcher of mule totalled 110$ before tip. The mule was expected price as cocktails in Montréal prices are on par, but 50$ for 2 soups & 2 khachapuri was a bit much, I also ordered the "saucy braised beef & pickle khachapuri" (18$) & it was more like beef bits sparsely covering the small cheese boat. It could have maybe came with a side portion of Russian salad or cabbage, since the size of the khachapuri is comparison to a large slice of pizza. Additionally we even decided to have dessert at home since the bill was already racked up. Unfortunately, We won't be going back.
This is a good place for Eastern European fusion food. The atmosphere & cocktails are excellent. Highly recommend the khachapuri
