Review Summary

My Canh receives mixed feedback from patrons, with many praising it as a top destination for authentic Vietnamese soups like Pho and snail soup, noting generous portions, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. While several diners highlight the fast service and flavorful, comforting broths, other reviews express significant disappointment regarding poor food quality, inconsistent preparation, and negative service experiences. Common criticisms include the lack of credit card acceptance, issues with order accuracy, and occasional dissatisfaction with dish seasoning, suggesting an experience that varies greatly depending on the visit.

An excellent spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine with incredibly fast & friendly service. I ordered the spicy soup, which arrived steaming hot & packed with flavor; -it came with beef steaks, pork, & pork knuckle. Great broth, perfect for cold weather.

My family & I went to eat lunch there & the portion of the food for the price we paid for isn't worth it. We were still hungry after eating the food but the service was so long that we decide to pay for the meal & eat elsewhere after. The food was alright in term of taste. My mom & my husband's grilled pork was overcooked/burn bit too much on the side. We cut as much possible the burn meat 🍖 The yellow crispy noodle meal portion was very small compared to any other restaurant. My mom got her plate maybe half hour after ours, which we were sharing our plates together in the meantime. Beside the portion & the long service, taste was okay + the service was friendly, no issue on the service part 🫶 The meals cost was about ~120$ for all in the picture before the tips added ^^'

I love going to My Canh when I am in Montreal. It's really what you can expect of a vietnamese family restaurant! The decor could use a refresh but the food needs no improvement! It's perfect. I had the banh xeo for once. It was crispy, coconutty & not too oily. They can only make it when the restaurant is not too busy since it's a giant affair but don't skip if it's possible! I also got a bun with pork (so sweet & crispy!!) & spring rolls.

Bun Oc (Vietnamese Escargot Noodle Soup) originated in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is a vermicelli rice noodle soup with a tomato-based broth made from slowly simmering chicken & pork bones. It is topped with the infamous escargot
