Bun Oc (Vietnamese Escargot Noodle Soup) originated in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is a vermicelli rice noodle soup with a tomato-based broth made from slowly simmering chicken & pork bones. It is topped with the infamous escargotView more
Très bon restaurant vietnamien. Un des meilleurs du coin.View more
Times are hard at Pho My Canh. Debit card only or cash. XL pho looking like the L of other places but at XL prices. Interior decor needs some desperate love to elevate the spot to the level of PhoMC Brossard (are they the same franchise/owner or not?) The place still serves tasty food but so does the similar priced competition in drastically better settings unfortunately. I don't believe I'll be back unless something is done. Feels like it's on its last leg. So many great memories from that spot. They need better cost cutting practices like either reducing the menu or something. I'd normally leave a 4 to signal the business it needs work but this barely gets to it & urgently needs attention.View more
You know the food is authentic when Vinahouse is playing.View more
My go-to Vietnamese place in Montreal! The restaurant is conveniently located in Chinatown, family-run, & serves some very delicious pho. Broth is not too salty (which can be a common problem for pho) & they give really generous portions! You will not be disappointed :)View more
This is the best banh mi u can find in montrealView more
Une ambiance authentique, des plats véritables (validés par ma copine vietnamienne), & un personnel très agréable. Les prix sont très raisonnables, c’est un restaurant à tester absolument à Chinatown!View more
Food was really good & the pho broth was delicious. You can tell it been cooking for hours in beef bones
Service is same as every pho restaurant in chinatown
Atmosphere needs a face-liftView more
I was there today with my wife & we had the worst experience ever. We ordered a specific soup & we were given a different one. That's fine, everyone makes a mistake. We simply told the waiter about the mistake & were waiting for the correct soup. That's when the horror show started. The manager heard about this & whispered to the waiter: "force them to eat this soup" (the manager probably assumed we couldnt understand Vietnamese). Despite this, the waiter took the wrong soup back to the kitchen. When he brought the "correct" one, we noticed that they just changed the bowl & the kind of meat, keeping the same noodle & soup base. Again, the manager probably assumed we didn't know the difference between the different soups. Any restaurant, or any shop for that matter, that treats the customers like this deserves no respect from us. Spread the word & let people know. & next time they whisper something in Vietnamese, be aware they may be saying something unpleasant about you...
