Muru Crêpe is one of those places where the food & the atmosphere somehow make each other taste better. Tucked into Old Montréal, it feels like you've discovered a little corner of Japan with a Montréal soul 🇯🇵

The crêpe was honestly the star of the visit. Light, delicate, beautifully golden, with just the right texture - expensive, soft enough to melt in your mouth but with that subtle crispness around the edges that makes every bite satisfying. The crème brûlée crêpe in particular is something else: the caramelized top gives that perfect crackle before you get into the warm, creamy, indulgent filling. It's not just a dessert; it's an experience.

I also loved how the Japanese inspiration comes through without taking away from the classic French crêpe tradition. The Totoro/Ghibli atmosphere, creative drinks, beautiful latte art, & attention to detail make the whole place feel genuinely special rather than just themed for the sake of it.

The staff were friendly & welcoming, & the cozy little space has so much character. I completely understand why so many people rave about this place & understandable why there's waiting time at some point.

If you're in Montréal & love crêpes, do yourself a favour & order one here. Some places serve crêpes; Muru makes you remember them 🥞

Cute little brunch spot in old port, I'm a huge studio Ghibli fan so I had to go. Decor was pretty, the waitresses were very attentive even when it got busy. The food is decent, a bit on the pricy end. I would definitely recommend coming early on the weekend, we arrived at about 10:15 on a Saturday & by 11:00 there was a line

I went here ~2-3 years ago & had a good time. Went here recently & had a totally different experience.

It is NOT a friendly nor welcoming vibe. The entrance is gated off, our waitress informed us that we couldn't just order drinks BEFORE even ordering anything, the restroom is bared off with a key. The item I got last time, the crème brûlée, has since been jacked up in price so I did not reorder it. You're looking at close to 30$ for 1 crape with cream now. I steeled for a 19$ yogurt dish thinking it came with a crape… it did not come with a crape. I ended up paying 19$ for yogurt, a banana, granola & strawberries. I was astounded by the price of everything. While we were there two ladies got yelled at. I assume it was for not tipping as I heard something about thinking the service was bad. But I honestly understand them. I mean the prices are so high I would think that the tip is included with the price anyway. The water was lukewarm. Don't try to come with big groups. At the bottom of the menu it says that they charge an additional percentage when you have groups of I think it was 5+.

Just feels like a tourist trap really. If you want Ghibli, good vibes, unlimited food, kind staff, then go to K2 Bistro. Reserve a spot ahead & you'll have a great time. More Ghibli stuff than just totoro.

This is a great spot for a weekend brunch in Old Port! If you're looking for a delicious meal & some high-quality matcha in a charming Ghibli-themed setting, you'll find it here.

The only downside is that it can get quite busy, & there aren't many waiters, so you might have to wait a bit. Otherwise, a must try!

Very cute restaurant. My family & I are big fans of studio ghibli. The restaurant was very busy on a Saturday morning, we got a seat at the bar with no wait. After we sat down we noticed a line forming at the door. They are very popular for a reason. Service was friendly & the food & drinks were all very good.

The cutest ghibli cafe in Montreal! This place is mainly for breakfast, lunch, & dessert. They have plenty of drink & food options. We tried their signature creme brulee crepe & also their matcha latte with a special totoro latte art. Everything tasted super delicious . The atmosphere is super cozy & the decorations are so cute! Theres mainly totoro stuff. Would totally recommend if you're walking around old port

We chanced on this delightful eatery & we we're served the most delicious crepes surrounded by super cute Studio Ghibli decor. The service was friendly & speedy plus their latte comes decorated with My Neighbour Totoro 😍. Make sure to pay them a visit you will not be disapointed.

Food was good & decor was ok (more a cafe with Ghibli decorations than a fully themed space) but the chai latte was bland & diluted. The drink tasted more like the cinnamon topping (does not include themed latte art) than actual tea & not worth the extra dollar you have to pay for alternative milk. Food was ok but the drinks are 50/50 told staff about it but were dismissive & cared more about checking out & getting us out the door than dealing with comment.
