Mundo Trattoria was born from a shared dream between two families - and today, it’s carried on by lifelong friends Johnny and Julian, whose fathers originally opened the restaurant together. Rooted in tradition and fueled by passion, they’ve kept the essence of a true Italian trattoria alive right here in Kirkland.
From fresh handmade pastas to tender veal and seasonal seafood, each dish reflects the flavors of Italy and the care that comes with being family-owned. With over 10 years of service and four decades of Italian culinary tradition, Mundo Trattoria is more than a place to eat - it’s a place to belong.
Across the reviews, Mundo Trattoria feels like a warm, welcoming dining room with outstanding food and service that many describe as first class. The menu showcases authentic Italian dishes, with favorites such as tagliatelle, osso buco, beef cheeks, calamari and octopus, all prepared with quality ingredients and generous portions. The atmosphere is consistently praised as cozy, elegant, and lively, and live entertainment on Friday nights adds a memorable touch. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly, attentive, and professional, contributing to smooth and enjoyable experiences. The wine list is noted as nice and well paired with meals, and the overall value and portions align well with the quality. Guests appreciate reliable catering and the opportunity to celebrate occasions in a place that makes guests feel special. The dining room atmosphere, warm service, and flavorful dishes combine to make Mundo Trattoria a go-to choice for both everyday meals and celebrations.
Singer was too loud...we were unable to converse comfortably.
Red wine was too cold.
Garlic bread was not hot.
No followup after service.
The gravy on the beef cheeks was very salty.
The calamari was excellent as was the side of garlic spaghetti.
Unfortunately that will be my first & last time at this restaurant.
There are way better restaurants fir way less money!!!
While the prices are a little on the expensive side the atmosphere is amazing with gorgeous lighting, amazing live music & engaging waiters & singer! The people around us were so much fun & the priority of the restaurant is to make sure your having a good time with good food & amazing service! The food was amazing Id highly recommend the chef special as it's for two people & cheaper then paying everything separately

Great food & service, but on friday nights you have to endure a cabaret singer who plays so loud you can't hear yourselves talk. We just picked the wrong night.
I've always loved the food & the service is amazing, but, though he's good, I could do without the singer. At times you have to shout to the other person. If I had know there was a singer, I would've reserved elsewhere. Not a place to have an intimate conversation unfortunately.
The food & service was outstanding as always. The restaurant is due for a bit of a makeover. It was a wonderful touch to have a live singer to entertain while we ate.

Highly recommended Italian flare. Loved the beets with goat cheese & pistachios appetizer.
We dined on veal scallopini, salmon & beef cheeks were very tender.
Ambiance was great, service was great. Italian singer on the premises added to the great time we had.
Food was amazing & service was fantastic from start to finish. To our surprise there was even a wonderful singer. A great time was had by all. Can't wait to go back again 😃
Excellent food, excellent service. The live singer created a wonderful atmosphere. This was our first visit & will not be the last. We loved this place!
The food & presentation was excellent. We ordered two antipasti platters. Each party had a different dish. My husband was disappointed with the lobster ravioli ( the pasta was too thick) but the meat dishes were beautiful & delicious. Our only negative comment, there was an excellent singer but the music was a bit too loud for a comfortable conversation. We chose Mundo because it was alway quiet & cosy & easy to hear each other. . Like the singer but must be lower volume.
