Superbe restaurant! La bouffe est délicieuse & le service toujours super sympathique! C'est pourquoi j'ai choisi le Motel Ontario pour célébrer mon anniversaire, une magnifique soirée!! Nous étions un bon groupe & les serveurs ont été attentionnés du début à la fin, un service convivial, on s'y sent bien. Le menu à partager, WOW délicieux avec de bonnes portions, on a manqué de rien! Le menu est varié, il y en a pour tous les goûts (mention spéciale pour les gnocchis MIAM). Je recommande 100% que ce soit pour un verre en 5 à 7 ou un souper en petit comité ou pour un groupe, une valeur sure ☺? merci
My dinner at Motel Ontario was honestly such a surprise.
From the moment I walked in until the moment I left, everything was just perfect. The place is spotless, beautifully decorated, & has a cozy atmosphere with warm, inviting lighting. You can really notice the attention to detail in everything, from the flowers & décor to the bar setup & the tables.
We had to wait a little longer for our table, but they kindly offered us a welcome drink, which was a really nice touch & set the tone for the evening.
As for the food, everything we ordered was excellent. The fried eggplants & the homemade focaccia are absolute must-tries, you really shouldn't skip them. For my main, I had the chicken schnitzel, & it was delicious. The combination of flavors, along with the texture of the chicken & the Dijon mustard sauce, made it a standout dish.
We also ordered the homemade French fries, which were very good & complemented the meal nicely.
Overall, it's a five-star place for me. The only small downside is that it can get a bit noisy, especially on weekends, but nothing that takes away from the great experience.
Resto vraiment sympathique. Super belle carte des vins, excellents cocktails & mocktails. Les plats sont goûteux & très copieux, & le personnel donne de bons conseils pour les accords mets?vins. On a adoré notre expérience !
I recently dined at this restaurant & overall had a very enjoyable experience. The cuisine is excellent , every dish we tried was flavorful, well-presented, & clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The ambiance is also a strong point: the setting is stylish, comfortable, & perfect for a relaxed evening out.
That said, there are a few aspects of the service policy that I found disappointing. The restaurant strongly enforces a tipping range of 18% to 25%, & while tipping is of course customary, the way it is handled can feel uncomfortable. If you choose to tip less, staff may approach you to question it, which comes across as pushy & detracts from the otherwise pleasant experience. Additionally, for groups of 9 or more, a mandatory set menu is imposed. While the set menu we had was genuinely delicious & well-curated, the lack of flexibility might not suit everyone.
To clarify, the service itself was good , staff were attentive & professional , but the approach to tipping felt a bit intrusive. It created a slight sense of pressure that doesn't align with the otherwise refined atmosphere.
In summary, this is a restaurant with outstanding food & a great ambiance, definitely worth visiting. However, the tipping policy & how it's communicated could be improved to make the overall experience more comfortable for guests.
La carte est bonne, mais manque terriblement de frais...patates, fromage, frites, gnocchi, beurre...pas de salade verte, de cru, d'acidulé, de fruit...c'est bien cuisiné, avec de bons produits mais on manque un peu de choix tout de même lorsque l'on veut éviter le scorbut😉. Ambiance & service relax...

Souvent un peu bruyant. Mais c'est devenu mon repère a Hochelaga pour manger un bon repas.
Les cocktails sont travaillés, le personnel connaît les produits & la nourriture est très bonne.
Je recommande.
Un des meilleurs resto que je vais avoir essayé à Montréal. Tous les plats étaient gouteux. Le service était impeccable, le staff est ultra sympathique & soucieux des détails. Je recommande à tous! Un plaisir gastronomique & social! Bravo Motel Ontario!
Service, cuisine & ambiance impeccables. Nous y allons souvent, sachant que la qualité sera toujours au rendez-vous. C'est super de maintenant avoir une bonne table dans ce secteur d'Hochelaga.
We had a really disappointing experience here. After being seated, someone did come by to take our drink order, but after that we were left waiting for an extremely long time. We could clearly see other tables around us being served & taken care of, while we still didn't even know who our actual server was.
Almost an hour went by & no one had come to ask for our order-not even for appetizers. At that point, we felt completely overlooked & frustrated.
Unfortunately, we decided to leave without ordering anything. Really hoping the service improves, because the lack of attention made the experience very disappointing.

Motel Ontario est un restaurant accueillant où le personnel l'est tout autant. Les mets sont très bons bien qu'à deux reprises où j'y suis allée, la bavette contenait de la tiraille. Éric est un serveur vif d'esprit & fort accommodant.
3 eme fois au motel ontario & 3 eme fois aussi incroyable ! Que ce soit le service, la cuisine & les petites attentions, c'est vraiment toujours autant un plaisir de venir ici !

Rare to find a place that nails the'triple threat': great drinks, delicious food, & excellent service. The wine list is well-curated & the atmosphere makes it easy to stay for hours. A perfect spot for a date or catching up with friends. 10/10
