Le Moose Bawr est situé sur la rue Ste-Catherine O angle St-Mathieu, au centre-ville de Montréal. C'est un pub où on y sert une excellente cuisine et de délicieuses boissons, un endroit pour se détendre après une journée de travail ou bien suivre la partie de hockey, ou encore pour boire quelques bières entre amis. On vous y sert de délicieux hot-dogs et des boissons rafraîchissantes dans une ambiance décontractée. En saison, la terrasse devient l'endroit idéal pour relaxer en sirotant une bonne bière fraîche ou une excellente sangria, en bonne compagnie. De plus, chez Moose Bawr, ce sont des professionnels du hot-dog! Le menu vous offre différents types de hot-dogs pour tous les goûts. Par exemple, le hot dog Shakira est composé d'une saucisse de chorizo, de coriandre, de jalapenos, de pico de gallo, d'avocat et de chicharon. Vous y trouverez d'autres succulentes surprises en allant leur rendre visite! Partez à la découverte du Moose Bawr, vous en serez agréablement surpris. Dans l ensemble, Moose Bawr est perçu comme un bar convivial et sans prétentions, avec des prix attractifs sur les formules du midi et une nourriture de pub à base de poutine et de hot dog, ainsi que des ailes et des frites qui plaisent. L'ambiance est souvent vivante et accueillante, avec une bonne carte de boissons, des soirées sport et une vibe qui attire étudiants et clients occasionnels. Le service est globalement sympathique mais plusieurs avis signalent des retards ou un manque de cohérence et des menus usés. Malgré certaines tensions, les clients reviennent souvent pour l ambiance, les tarifs et la nourriture solide, ce qui en fait un endroit sympa pour déjeuner, boire entre amis ou regarder un match.
I've been coming daily to this place for more than two years early eve or Saturday afternoon. Staff is very accommodating & polite except for music volume. I'm sitting here now with a guest. Two other patrons in the bar. Can't have a civil conversation because of music volume. I asked the staff to lower the music a little bit. Not the first time I was told we are not allowed to lower the music due to owner (who doesn't come ) instructions. They are doing their job but ill advised on customer satisfaction. I normally don't post reviews but there seems to be no other recourse.
The staff should be able to assess the situation & not be handcuffed by owner directives
Tout est passable, spécial attrayant pour bières domestiques, malheureusement pas de diffusion du hockey en français. Je n'apprécie pas l'autoségrégation. Regarder la partie en français est une très bonne façon d'apprendre le français. Une serveuse m'a dit froidement'c'est un bar anglophone' en français même, au lieu de dire'la plupart de la clientèle est anglophone donc nous n'avons pas RDS' . C'est ma dernière fois. Toute cette région est désagréable; elle me rappelle d'Ottawa & Toronto.
Amazing service! I've been frequenting Moose Bawr for a while now, & I haven't had one negative experience with any of the staff. Food & drinks are reasonably priced.

Came in for a quick lunch & was met with some very friendly staff, the pricing on the lunch specials was shockingly great for what we got. We got a poutine & hotdog for $13 & both were amazing (the poutine was massive for 6.50$!)
Ive enjoyed loose bawr a number if times & its been solid, until yesterday. My partner & I went for a late lunch, & found that both bar tender, & line cook were asleep (I can only assume they were staff because there was no other staff were around). One asleep at the bar, one asleep at a table.
I didnt bother waking them. Went elsewhere.
0/10 Waitress/Bartender did not give back our tip assuming the cash we handed her was her tip. What if we wanted to give her more? What if we wanted to give her less? This bartender/waitress should not be have done this in the first place & assume. Bad review is being left because this bartender/waitress did not take us seriosuly. What ever the reason she may have, it was not valid & this waitress/bartender should go back on training. 12:47am March 9th 2026.
I have never been to a bar in Montreal that has given such terrible service. We kept being ignored for drinks & the servers forgot our food after we had talked to both of them & they had even confirmed the order twice. After asking multiple times the waitress admitted she forgot but then by the time we got our food they did not even bring it all & we had to wait almost an hour for them to come back. The fries I got were stale & all small like it was leftovers & while we were waiting we could see both servers chatting & visiting behind the bar. We barely were checked up on all evening & had to flag them down to get a drink. I'm frustrated we even had to pay full price for cold food & waiting nearly an hour to be served & even having our order admittedly forgotten. The overall experience made felt dismissive & made us feel unwelcome by the staff. I don't recommend anyone go here especially with the location there are better options with much better service & food that's actually fresh & hot
Went with a couple friends. Waitress came twice in 5 minutes to get drink orders which is ok but then once an hour to take food order & to get water, but came right away when we asked to pay. Got sweet hammy tasted good but overpriced for what you get, it was just a hot dog with toppings & too much bread for about 10$ & small jar drink for 10.25. Not going back. The menus were so scratched up could barely read. Also got carded by bouncer after he saw us drink our cocktails & when we told him we showed the waitress, he said'she's not the boss'. It's not worth going.
Came here to watch an NFL game, have some drinks & eat some pub food. The Moose Bawr did not disappoint. The game was on the TV, the drinks were reasonably priced, & the food was better than expected. I recommend this place for a casual night or game day.
Expérience décevante. Certaines boissons ne sont jamais arrivées après la commande. De plus, le TPE était hors service & nous n'avons pas été prévenus en amont. Ainsi, au moment du paiement, nous devions payer cash (un ATM était disposé dans l'établissement pour retirer de l'argent, avec frais bien sûr). Suite à cela nous avons décidé de fournir un pourboire faible à l'image de la qualité du service proposé, ce à quoi le gérant s'est mis à crier sur notre groupe, ce qui est absolument inadmissible. Je rappelle que le pourboire est à l'image du service proposé & non acquis par défaut. Je ne recommande pas.
