Lieu tres propre, personnel super gentil, généreux, accueillant & qui n'hésite pas à nous conseiller & par dessus tout, nourriture délicieuse.
Nous avons été à cet endroit comme plan B puisqu'un restaurant adjacent avait une file interminable & nous ne sommes pas du tout déçu de cette découverte, le détour en vaut la peine. Leur poutine & leur poulet sont goûteux !

C'est tout simplement le meilleur monteiro de l'île. Je n'ai pas besoin d'en rajouter plus. Ils sont très très généreux sur les quantités que ce soit les bols ou les poutines, on ne manque jamais à sa faim. Les prix sont excellents & le service est irréprochable. Ils sont efficaces & les plats arrivent chauds & savoureux. Les employés sont chaleureux, très agréable, on se sent vraiment chez soi. J'ai pu organiser un événement où j'ai passé une grosse commande pour les participants & le service était au delà de mes attentes, sincèrement. Tout était prêt à temps, généreux sur les quantités, délicieux & pour un prix abordable. On parle d'un vrai savoir faire & d'une vraie qualité. Monteiro c'est tout simplement réconfortant & c'est le lieu par excellence pour passer un bon moment, seul entre ami ou entre famille autour de plats savoureux. Je recommande fortement & n'hésitez pas à échanger avec les employés, ils sont très sympathiques. Au plaisir de revenir chez vous !
Wow, really wow. I've been to literally every Monteiro that's ever opened, & I can say without hesitation that this one is in a league of its own. The portions are absolutely insane, they do not skimp at all, you get an incredible amount of food.
On top of that, the flavour is actually crazy. Most Monteiro spots taste like a random mix of ingredients thrown together, but here everything genuinely tastes fresh & well balanced.
The poutine & bowls are divine. Compared to other nearby restaurants, I genuinely find myself gravitating toward this place. I couldn't recommend it more.
Came in at the end of the night as they were stacking the chairs away & the service & food were still 10/10. The poutine is great, they grilled the chicken to order.
Monteiro - Portuguese Flavor, Fast & Full of Heart 🇵🇹🔥
I was invited to the Rachel location of Monteiro to try their $10.99 Express Menu, & honestly? It was such a cozy, flavorful surprise. This Portuguese spot is family-owned, halal, & uses fresh, never-frozen chicken & you can taste the care in every bite.
Every plate is customizable to your spice level, so I tried one of each sauce to really get the full experience.
Here's what I tasted:
🍗 Cuisse Express (BBQ Sauce) - Juicy grilled chicken leg with that sweet-but-balanced BBQ glaze. The fries actually taste like real potatoes (always a win), the salad had a light, refreshing vinaigrette, & the rice gave Spanish rice energy.
🍟 Poutine Express (Mild) - My top pick. The fries were golden & crispy, & the combo of squeaky cheese curds, juicy chicken, & rich gravy hit every comfort note.
🌶? Piri Express (Spicy) - This one's for the rice lovers. I went all in with the spiciest sauce, & it delivered bold heat with just enough creaminess to keep things balanced. The sweet corn in the veggie mix paired beautifully with the beans & rice… cozy, filling, & full of flavor.
🧄 Algerian Sauce - I used this for dipping fries & it was so good .. garlicky, spiced, & rich without being overpowering.
🥤 Drinks - I usually go for passionfruit, but the Sumol orange soda surprised me in the best way. It's sweetened with sucralose instead of sugar, so there's a little extra sweetness at the end.
🍮 Pastéis de Nata - Soft, buttery, creamy. A lovely finish to a spice-filled meal.
📝 Side note: I'm not usually a rice girl, so I naturally leaned toward the options with potatoes & they didn't disappoint. If you're not into spice, go for BBQ or mild, but if you like a little heat ? Go for spicy .. The piri piri brings it.
