This sandwich shop was an AMAZING find. The McGill Debate Club organized a tournament with around 90 participants, & we needed reliable catering with vegetarian/vegan options.
When we called MONO, the employee was incredibly friendly & proactive in helping us figure out what would work best. I was put in contact with the owner, Sara, & we quickly found a great common ground. She was receptive, accommodating with dietary needs, & even offered free delivery. The Go Habs Go & the Lucie & Mom sandwiches were flavourful & fresh.
Our biggest fear was ending up with dry sandwiches, but it was the complete opposite: perfectly moist.
Thank you, MONO, for the fantastic service. We look forward to visiting the shop in person soon!
Staff are extremely nice & friendly. However, the sandwich does NOT TASTE GOOD. We have some amazing sandwiches you can get around Montreal. Bossa, not far, MezzMiz down the street, or even Antep kebab. Also the stench of rats living in the building/kitchen is strong when you walk in. I think they can do better. Very kind people but this is IN NO WAY a 4.7/5. This is a solid 1-2/5 at best. It's extremely expensive for what it is. I do not want a response.
I visited Mono & tried the Godfather hero, while my wife had the Simple Sandwich on round ciabatta. Both sandwiches were well prepared & very tasty. When combined with their seasoned fries, they make a complete & satisfying meal. We really enjoyed it!
Good sandwich, good potato wedge, friendly staff, drink selection is pretty weak but doesn't hurt the score here, food compensates. $57 for two cans of pop, two sandwiches, & a single order of fries is pretty steep, but you could do worse for the money.
First timer. Found on google maps & decided to try it.
Nice, clean & cosy atmosphere 💯 Just the scent diffuser was blasting a bit too much I think.
As for food I took the Hungry Man & a friend had the Godmother. Both were very good. Hungry Man was packed but at same time felt light & fresh! Godmother was so good too on the'greasy' side.
I had an amazing experience at Mono Café in Montreal! The sandwiches are super fresh & delicious, & their coffee is top-notch. They have a great selection, & I definitely recommend it
We recently visited MONO Sandwicherie on Crescent Street while filming our Montreal Sandwich Challenge - & it quickly became one of our favorite downtown spots!
The atmosphere is stylish yet cozy, perfect for a quick lunch or a relaxed coffee break right in the heart of Montreal. The staff were incredibly welcoming, & we loved the personal touch from Sarah, the owner's wife, who surprised us with an extra sandwich (thank you again! ).
Everything we tried was delicious, but we especially recommend the breaded chicken sandwich - crispy, flavourful, & perfectly balanced - & don't miss their fries with homemade sauce. Portions are generous, & the presentation matches the great taste.
If you're exploring downtown or just looking for a great local café with quality food & warm service, MONO is absolutely worth a stop. Highly recommended from Discovering Destinations!
