Je suis allée avec 2 amis au brunch. Belle atmosphère. Service médiocre, très lent pour prendre notre commande, nous amener de l'eau, & servir les plats. Toutes les tables autour de nous sont arrivées après nous & sont parties bien avant que nous recevions nos plats. Les plats étaient corrects, sans être extraordinaire.
The fortuna poutine was delicious, especially with the generous amounts of fresh mushrooms 🍄 from their garden. The popcorn 🍿 mushrooms were also fresh tasting & flavorful. The salmon was great as well & great selection of local draft beers. Great service & ambiance for dinner.

A very cozy place with pleasant furniture & clean decor. It is spacious, so you do not feel squeezed between tables. No clutter & that allows the customer to enjoy the coziness. The beautiful lights (👍) are a great way to create an inviting environment, a fact neglected by many restaurants, eateries & coffee places in the city. The service was excellent & the food was truly delicious. The vegetarian burger had a perfect consistency (most of the time, veggie burgers are soggy or too dry). The fries flavoured with garlic were a delight & those who love spicy mayonnaise, you have it. The veggie tartare (beets) was nicely seasoned & balanced. The plain plates were a nice blue, allowing to showcase the colours of the dishes. The American IPA Les Trois Lettres, 6.5%, is an excellent IPA with a perfect amount of bitterness & earthy scents. Great experience! P.S. Just a tiny suggestion: some minimalist flower pots for some of the plants in the window would be a nice addition. 😊
It has a nice ambience but food was awful. I got El Pablo. Fried chicken wasn't eatable. It was too fried that became hard. Potato was the same. It looks like they just warm up a left over food. I though maybe because it was 2:30 pm & too late for brunch. Service wan't that good either. They forgot my request to re-fill my coffee & brought the bill.
C'était notre première fois à mon conjoint & moi-même! Les plats étaient succulents & le service impeccable. Les prix sont très raisonnable pour la qualité des plats. Nous avons apprécié l'ambiance feutré & calme.

Our first time around, my family & I had a so so experience but the owner & team were very quick to course correct & invited us back for an amazing evening! They took great care of us & we had a phenomenal night/experience. Shout out to our waiter Mateo who was very beloved & to the owners who cared enough about their business to ensure no customer left without being 110% satisfied.
Un endroit sympathique & chaleureux. Le brunch est délicieux & original. L'endroit est lumineux avec plantes & le personnel est courtois, sympathique & souriant. Toujours hâte d'y retourner :)
Whenever I visit Montreal I come to Monk Cafe & absolutely love it. I come with friends, or to just sit & write while enjoying a coffee or cocktail. Aside from the delicious food & beautiful decor, the staff are so nice & welcoming which is the best part of all.
Hybride café/restaurant/bar. J'ai visité un vendredi soir pour l'apéro/souper ainsi qu'une autre fois pour le brunch. Très belle ambiance & très lumineux avec ses grandes fenêtres. Bon choix de bières de la brasserie West Shefford. Le menu nourriture est alléchant. Nous avons pris la rillette de canard fait maison en entrée, vraiment excellent. Le burger de poulet frit était quand à lui tout simplement décadent 👌🏻Les choix pour le brunch sont également délicieux & le tout est original!

Le staff est super sympathique, la bouffe est excellente ainsi que la bière. En plus ils misent sur des produits québécois. C'est un endroit exceptionnel!
Excellent little Cafe on boulevard Monk, which is a very cute area. We went for breakfast with a group of 4 people & did not wait for a table. The service was exceptional with really thoughtful, attentive & kind staff attending to our needs. Coffee was amazing. I had a double shot of their blend, had great notes of berry & dark chocolate. Breakfast was so delicious & good value for the proportions. I had the Classic Breakfast & ate like royalty. The homemade mayo was great too for the potatoes. Eggs were buttery yum The ambience is a nice blend of Breakfast Cafe meet Cafe night life with a full bar. Overall would highly recommend & I will be returning A++++
Étant cliente régulière, j'aime beaucoup manger chez Monk, mais aujourd'hui j'ai reçu un plat mal cuisiné & la serveuse m'a tout simplement répondu "espérons que ça soit mieux la prochaine fois". J'aurais vraiment aimé qu'elle me propose une alternative, car j'ai mangé très peu considérant que l'assiette ranchero n'est pas une grande assiette (la tortilla était crue)
