Wonderful, airy atmosphere with lots of light. High quality, well-seasoned ingredients: tofu, bacon, avocado, toast (you know how you get the flimsiest Pom toast at some brunch joints?). Beats a chain brunch spot in every way.
Nous étions habitués d'aller bruncher à cet endroit, mais nous n'y retournerons plus. Ma dernière expérience se résume ainsi: café froid qui goûte l'eau & plats qui ont rapetissé & froid également, le tout pour 70$.
Excellent burger balanced & seasoned thoughtfully with a brioche bun with very good fries & a fantastic cappuccino - balanced with the right amount & texture of foam. Would return without hesitation to try their brunch items!!
Super place pour le brunch du dimanche où autres occasions ! Cuisine réconfortante & gourmande qui donne envie d'y retourner & un staff au top super gentil.
Super expérience pour le souper. Nous étions déjà venu pour le Brunch & c'était tout aussi bon!
Nous avons pris le menu à partager & tous les plats étaient délicieux (surtout le tartare de boeuf , le flanc de porc & le labneh). Les portions étaient généreuses.
Cocktails savoureux & belle sélection de vin.

Nous reviendrons assurément.

I've traveled the globe, tasting countless espresso martinis, but none compare to the one at Monk Cafe! This place offers a great atmosphere, excellent service, & a brunch menu that caters to every taste & appetite. However, the undisputed star is JP's espresso martini. His'secret' recipe & masterful touch create a velvet perfection that is, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. A truly unforgettable experience!
J'y suis allé pour la toute première fois avec mes parents pour le brunch de la Fête des Mères. La bouffe était excellente. Toutefois, le service était lent & nonchalent. Ça a été très long avant qu'on vienne prendre notre commande & aussi très long avant de recevoir un simple café filtre, car fait à l'unité par le barista. Un busboy (ou busgirl) serait d'une aide formidable au service.
P.S. Les plantes de la vitrine en processus de fin de vie par déshydratation avaient tout aussi soif que nous, alors je leur ai donné un peu d'eau par pitié ;)
Nous avons reçus de bons commentaires au sujet de ce restaurant, donc nous y sommes allés pour bruncher ce dimanche. Je n'ai pas aimé l'ambiance du resto même si le décor était beau avec les grandes fenêtres. J'ai trouvé que ce n'était pas chaleureux & que les tables étaient près les unes des autres. Côté nourriture, j'ai pris une sandwich déjeuner fait avec un pain fait maison. Le pain était vraiment ordinaire & sec. La sandwich était ok sans plus. Les patates déjeuner ne sont pas des "patates déjeuner'', ça ressemblait à des patates grecques très molles & graisseuses. J'ai pris une bouchée seulement. Je suis persuadée que ce sont les mêmes patates qu'on sert au dîner & au souper. Le repas était très moyen tout comme l'ambiance. Point positif, le service.

Very nice café with good ambience for brunch & fresh products (specially the mushrooms since they have a partnetship with a local producer that you can even buy to take home) Some plates mexican inspired just in case you want to get out of traditional brunch menus. Very polite service & price was decent. Recommended will definitely come back for dinner ( some days they have live music)
Our favourite Cafe! Varied brunch menu, great coffee & friendly service. We brought our dog on the terrasse, & there is a park just across the road. Electric car charging right outside with high capacity chargers a short walk away.
A new restaurant in Ville-Émard, garden style decoration. Home made bacons were delicious, potatoes were seasoned well, the plate is good size with reasonable price. We went there for brunch during the week, not in rush hours(half tables were empty). Services were good but the kitchen was slow so we waited longer than normal, I wonder if they are short of employees in the kitchen. Update: had lunch there I this week, services are much faster than before.
Had the Ranchero for brunch & it was delicious. Can't wait to try some of the other meals. My only complaint is when the café is busy the acoustics are bad. Some sound absorbing acoustics panels would benefit the ambience.
