I visited this located two weeks ago with a friend of mine. I was very excited to try out the Korean bbq as I've hear so many raving reviews about it. I was not disappointed, the staff was patient & helpful, the atmosphere was fun & welcoming & as for the food 10/10 as a meat lover the food was delicious with lots of varieties. Recommend 💯

After experiencing the Mon Ami KBBQ in Verdun, this location was a letdown. Our reservation was at 8:00, we did not get our food until 9:00 had passed & our first order was at 8:15. I understand that there was a glitch in the system that made our order not fully go through even though on our end it was sent, but we had to flag down, not one, not two, not three, but four people for us to finally get our food. We had told multiple servers that people who got here after us were fully served, we had been waiting for over 40 minutes & we were simply waiting for our food. We kept getting told it'll be out any minute, but only the fourth person we told was like "that's not normal" & she checked to see there was a glitch in the system. During all this time no one thought to check on us, we had to flag the waitresses down to tell them. We had to ask for an iced tea three times before it was brought to us. Multiple times we needed a water refill but never got it until the very end. & two waiters didn't even understand us when we spoke. The food was good for the most part, & the atmosphere was nice, but apart from the one really sweet waitress who realized waiting 40 minutes was not normal for raw meat & veggies, the service was quite poor. I'm not saying don't go here, because the food is nice & the people are nice, I'm just saying it could be better & the waiters need to learn how to listen to the customers.
This wasn't my first visit, but service was slower. Had issues with orders taking too long, so we asked the waiter for it directly. Oh & be careful the waiter adds their tip $ before you pay. We was a group 2 families, 4 adults & for kids. Waiter automatically puts 50$ tip on my tab. I don't quite think it reflects their service.
I gotta say, on Monday Thanksgiving, I need to give props to the singular server & the kitchen staff because they seem to be understaff that day & still manage to run the restaurant. I went there with my gf & I had a great time with her. Food was good, server was very nice & smiley & he set us down & made us understand that service will be slow due to be only him as the server. Great time & great prices for lunch!

Très bonne accueil, mais c'est peut-être la seule chose de bien. Les couverts étaient sales, peu de choix, la qualité était plustôt médiocre. Les dumbing & boeuf était bon mais le reste pas fou du tout. & le prix très cher sur tout pour cette qualité. Je ne referai pas ce restaurant. Il y a des bbq coréen sur Montréal qui sont bien meilleur, avec plus de choix & de qualité pour 40$ & pas 50$

Service in here is very friendly & such warm welcoming ❣️❣️❣️The person who serves us is super lovely, kind & take the time to explain us their lunches menu of what's available since they don't open the AYCE until 4 PM. When we finish to eat our food, I ask them for a to go box & before I left, they offer me a doggy bag which was so sweet of them 🥺🫶 I went to dine in with my husband to try this new Mon Ami Korean BBQ location & the food there it was good 💖 The fried shrimp was excellent, the miso soup & the side condiments (sauces,salade,kimchi) it was so delicious !! However, the chicken we got was very dried compared to the others korean restaurants which kinda disappointed me... maybe it was overcooked or something 😞 Aside of the chicken, the pieces of meat we had to cook on the grill it was lovely 🫶 I really love that style of cooking where we decide the cooking temperature & cook the way we want ! Also, the price of the lunch menu with the 3 choices meat + bowl of rice & a sauce condiment wasn't a lot but the waitress did tell us beforehand visually that it wasn't a big portion which why I decide to order like the fried shrimp & one of the boneless chicken to make sure it was enough. ❤️❤️❤️ Will come back again to try their AYCE in the futur ❤️ Side note: it was hilarious to see not 1 but several birds wandering around in the diner (I didn't get the chance to take a picture when they had like 6 near our tables).
