Get rid of the bubble gum. I went to the washroom, On the way back I picked up a gum & returned to my seat. Now mind you, I wear a two-tooth partial. My partial stuck to the teeth beneath it & I could hardly open my mouth. I stuck my head under the table to try & remove the gum which had endless stretch to it I finally managed to remove the partial, cover it & put it in my pure. Brushed for 15 min, soaked with tablet overnight & still not completely restored. But the filet mignon almost blue was PERFECT!!
We had a wonderful meal & thank you for the cake that you brought us at the end as we were celebrating my girlfriend's 50th birthday. Your prices are high but I was prepared for that because it was a special occasion. One thing I will point out - I've travelled all over the world & ate at many top quality restaurants - never in my life have I been charged extra for the steak sauce ($6.00) - I found that to be petty & outrageous & I think you need to reconsider that because you will piss off more people than charging for the sauce is worth. My meal for two including tip was $430.00 - charging $6.00 x 2 for the sauce we put on our steak is really just plain greedy.
We were very much impressed by the service (courteous & efficient), & the quality of the food. For a first visit due to friends' recommendations, we will certainly be back. Please do not change anything. A most pleasant evening that moreover reminded us of what Montreal restaurants used to be like some time ago. Best regards, Philippe Roy
We so wanted to love the new Moishes having adored the old place. We understand change is inevitable. I did not want to write this an agonized over doing so. First of all the reservation process was a disaster. I went over it three times before we got to Montreal & I was called once the day of. I did NOT want to sit in the bar area & that is where we were seated. I told the restaurant it was my husband's birthday no acknowledgement, no candle. The service was abysmal. We specifically asked three times that the steak have spices ON it. The steak did not have spices & the garlic is now on the side. It does not work, the steak must be cooked with the spice on it, we asked for medium rare & got rare, not once did the waiter who took the order check on us after the food was delivered. I asked if the spinach was creamed spinach he said YES, it is not. Last & most important, chopped liver is not made with pine nuts!! I find it hard to believe that there was not a standard recipe for that iconic dish. You got the cole slaw right why not the liver? The drinks were wonderful, the shrimp not crisp or clean tasting, they were just big. Thankfully the dessert which was promised gratis after the spice hiccup was delicious but still no candle. We came all the way from Connecticut for the meal & as a local said upon leaving, " everyone will try it once, not sure anyone is coming back" I had to write this so you know. I want to see you succeed, & hope changes are made. The room is magnificent, now get busy with the service & tweek the menu.
I was disappointed to find that you were unable to provide my favourite drink Rusty Nail due to a back order. The glasses for soft drinks are way too small. Should contain at least a can of soft drink.
We loved the shared Porterhouse steak. My husband & daughter loved it.

It was a birthday celebration which was fine thanks to Jean Luc an excellent server.He was extremely personable & apologized for our experience which was our second time there since the opening. The meal service from the kitchen was extremely slow. A dinner that should take 2 hours took 3. For example :
The dessert which involved no cooking time took over over 30 minutes to arrive .Never got my coffee. The main course took forever . The restaurant was full & the kitchen was obviously unable to keep up with the demand on a timely fashion. Thank goodness for the bread basket & coleslaw & pickles for hungry diners.
Also the Valet Service took a longer time than
usual over 20 minutes. So govern yourself accordingly.
Service was very slow. Food was great! Do not like the washroom setup, perhaps disabled washrooms should be gender neutral as well instead.
Food was excellent & David is a 1st class manager-he brought the best of Moishes with him.

Le tout était excellent. Un 5 étoiles pour le service dîner lorsque lorsque les serveurs résistent à l'envie de vendre ou d'apportez des extras chargeables à la table qui n'ont pas été commandés. Sinon une belle première expérience. À revenir & réessayer.

Service absolument impeccable. Grande attention portée au fait que j'ai un problème auditif, afin de me donner une table bien placée & orientée pour m'épargner du bruit trop proche de moi.
Quand on change la recette d'un classique, il faut s'assurer que la nouvelle recette est supérieure pour les clients. Sinon, à quoi bon préserver le nom du restaurant?

Great space & good food. Appetizers could be a little more elevated but steak & sides were great. Amazing waiter but bus boys needs training. Pilling & cleaning dishes onto one another at table is a little low end. Overall great night. Happy Moishes is open again & we will be back. Wishing it lots of success.
All your staff were friendly from the time we arrived until the time we departed. Our server Chanel was particularly exceptional. The Caesar salad was delicious & the bone in filet pure perfection. Nice selection of wines by the glass too. It brought back nice memories of growing up in Montreal over 50 years ago & going to Moishes but with a wonderful & new fresh interpretation. A delicious Sunday dinner. We'll be back. Congratulations on a job well done.
We had a wonderful time. The waiters were very attentive.
One downside was the organization of the bar. There was only one person who could handle the bill & when it came time to pay the bill, she was extremely busy. It took too much time to pay the bill. I think you should rethink the organization.
