Food was pretty bland & could absolutely use more flavour. Atmosphere was nice, the place is pretty, & the live music was a lovely touch. Service was fine, nothing outstanding. Seats are not comfortable & the tables are quote smallVoir plus
Very sub par. We were extremely excited to come here based on other reviews but we were disappointed. The tables were crammed in so tight & seat so uncomfortable, waiters pushing by every few seconds. The food was very bland. Not bad but not good. Service was poor, disappointed!Voir plus
We had a great time on a Saturday night with live music & flavorful food! George took care of us & helped us out with some really good recommendations. Would highly recommend!Voir plus
Food was good, expensive for what it is though. Service was subpar. Wouldn't be returning especially for the price.
Amazing food, service & ambiance. We had the snails followed by the lamb chops & mushroom risotto. Everything was delicious. Creme brûlée for dessert was also amazing. Cocktails were great, mirage was delicious - only critique would be that they could offer more wines by the glass. But the ones offered were enough to pair with the meal.
Nestled in the heart of Old Port, Modavie stands out as a culinary beacon, even if you have to navigate through some construction to get there. The diverse menu caters to a variety of tastes, ensuring there's something for everyone. I had the pleasure of trying the Lamb Cavatelli, & it was a delightful fusion of tender lamb & perfectly cooked pasta that danced on my palate. The live music added an extra layer of charm to the experience, enhancing the already cozy ambiance. It's not just about the food at Modavie; it's about the entire experience. The service was impeccable - attentive & timely, without being intrusive. It's clear that Modavie values its customers & understands the essence of hospitality. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Modavie is a must-visit spot in Montreal's Old Port. Don't let a little construction keep you from this fantastic dining experience!
Friendly stuff. We arrived & they told us the kitchen closes in 30 minutes. Food came promptly & delicious. Crème brûlée had a crunchy top & sweet no stinky egg smell. Fois a gras was whole not past. Lamb chops were tender & well seasoned. They had live jazz but it was over when we got there. Parking is difficult at this time because the city has the whole street dug up even Uber couldn't drop us in front of the door. we had to walk then change sidewalks so we weren't sure if it's open or not but we got closer we saw like a bridge over construction to get to the door.Voir plus
Great food, great service, beautiful live acoustic concert. One of my favorite places in Montreal!Voir plus
I would return again & again purely to see Lorenzo & have the experience with him! He is truly wonderful! The young lady with the gold glasses was delightful (sorry I don't know her name). Music, ambiance, wine choice & food, all delicious! We were recommended by friends in Toronto as British visitors, it didn't disappoint. Thank you so much 🍸Voir plus

Possibly the best restaurant experience we have had. We visited while on vacation in Old Montreal & we were lucky enough to be there for a live blues band. We had the garlic snails as an appetizer & freshly baked warm rolls were brought to the table as well. The Lamp Chops were out of this world as was my wifes Filet Mignon. That was followed by a crazy good creme brulee. The drinks were professionally made as well & were exceptional. On top of all this the server named Rad was no less than perfect. Friendly, knowledgeable & went out of his way to ensure we were enjoying ourselves throughout the night. He also allowed us all the time we wanted for a nice meal & music. Thank you for a memorable night.Voir plus
Great food. I recommend the lamb burguer, the mushroom risotto & the pesto gnocchi. The service by Lorenzo was outstanding.Voir plus

Good food & jazz! What else do you need? Only improvement point would be be to find another coffee supplier. Thanks for the amazing experience!Voir plus
This place was just perfect. The ambience was beautiful with the cutest French music. We went at an off hour & it was so quaint. Our server, George, was so friendly & made the experience better :). I got the mussels & fries & it was so filling without being too much. Cannot recommend this place more & a must go to in Montreal!Voir plus
