We had a lovely breakfast at this cafe & were genuinely impressed by the warm & attentive service. Despite the place being quite busy, the staff remained kind, composed, & consistently made an effort to check in with customers. It was clear they genuinely care about creating a good experience for everyone - we could hear the staff member regularly asking guests if they needed anything, which really stood out.

As for the food - the coffee was excellent, & both of our meals were delicious. We got the steak & eggs, & the egg & ham. Both were flavorful & well-prepared. The entire atmosphere was cozy & inviting, making it a place we'd be happy to return to.

Next time, we're planning to try their breakfast bowls - they looked great!

Quick stop for sandwiches for lunch. Egg & halloumi went well together & they grill the inside of the bread for the sandwich. Went back the next day for a cortado which was good & a croissant which was ok. Indoor seating only.

A great find in Montreal. We had the cottage cheese pancakes & Chicken sub.
Both things were great & super friendly staff. This is a must try when in Montreal

Wow! Me & my partner were looking for some breakfast before our train & we were so pleasantly surprised! This place has the absolute best coffee, food (steak sandwich!!!) & I dropped my coffee & they were incredibly kind & helped us clean up & made me a new one. What a wonderful spot! Don't drop your coffee like me!!!!!!!!!!

Delicious coffee with all manner of dairy & non dairy options. Sandwiches & pastries all worth returning for. Stayed at an Air BnB nearby & was happy to find Mintar & stop by every morning of my visit!

Mintar Café Inc became my go-to spot for breakfast in Montreal. I loved it so much that I went back twice! The service was excellent, & both times I visited, it was busy, which is always a good sign. It's not just tourists; even locals come here for breakfast. I had a steak that was a little spicy, but I really enjoyed it, & the Americano was perfect. It's a great place with wonderful service, & I highly recommend it.
