We wouldn't go very far. About a quarter Mìle from our house.
It used to be our meeting point, which quickly became a source of comforting nostalgia for my friends and I. It still feels like it was yesterday. However, it was a lifetime ago. A time frozen by our memories. A time of our youthful past.
A time where friendship dictated our code of ethics. A time where, according to our discussions, we were kings of the world, sitting quietly at the foot of our tree; a large poplar.
A few years later, the poplar needed us. It's inevitable death caused by the evolving growth in the real estate sector, hurting all that enjoyed its soul. We wanted to save it. We had to save it.
Then, a crazy dream came to life: To bring a new dimension to the pillar of our memories.
Mile Public House delivers a lively and welcoming atmosphere with friendly service and a creative cocktail lineup, while the food offers consistent quality with a range of shareable and hearty options at good value. The vibe is energetic and social, making it a popular spot for groups and evenings out, with attentive staff and quick service when not overwhelmed. Some reviews note the music can be loud and busy, but the overall experience comes across as enjoyable and memorable, especially for weekdays or weekend gatherings. The menu features crowd pleasers like tartare, poutine, fish and chips and club sandwiches, and guests often leave citing great prices, solid drinks, and a willingness to return.
It's a nice place, but I asked for a Ceasar salad side & I received a garden salad. We were the only customers for take out & they forgot to bag my salad so I had to go back. I don't think I was charged the extra, & I can't verify my receipt because while taking away the menu from the table the receipt fell with it or something, but still, it's not what I asked for. Also the staff had a miscommunication & the server Maya was very authoritative in her approach & made me feel ashamed for even asking. I only had my request reviewed by a supervisor because her colleague went to the back, but she was very certain she was right, & after confirming that I was correct with dix30 administration, I feel it was inappropriate composure. Maybe it was due to miscommunication within the business, & I'd say nothing if I was mistaken, so I understand her but still wasn't a good experience. I liked the items on the menu so I want to return, but after this experience, I'm not sure. Edit: it was obvious the waitress was not aware & miscommunications can happen. That's not the issue, but she made sure multiple times to tell me I was wrong & it wasn't supposed to be there, & I confirmed with my partner that she was rude in her approach. I would have kept it private, but I needed to give this feedback now that I received the confirmation & I never received private communication. Thanks.
Went from being a favorite spot to just another overpriced normal spot. Used to have great fries, now it's McCain, the duck was hard, the sauce is still good & the quarter mile is still value lagger in that area. Tartare plate took a massive hit, used to be big & great with salad & all, now it's half the size, still tastes ok, but you can't do extra duck poutine anymore.
Seriously, quality is not what it was, it's a shame.

My daughter & I had a quick bite here. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant is very nice. We both got the Caesar salad & it was extremely good. The sauce was delish- didn't seem out of a bottle. The chicken was very well made & flavorful. We both got the small size with an addition of chicken. Yum!
Who are the people reviewing here The food was great! Ask for the chipotle mayo. Awesome! The fries were perfect! The smash burger was better than Belle & la Boeuf. My wife had the Mile salad & it was amazing. The music was good. The ambiance was good. It has a nice mixed crowd. & Eloise (our server) was the best! She was so attentive & made sure we were always good. She really made our night & we were well taken care of I'll definitely be going back for more tequila!
We stopped by for an impromptu post-Covid lunch on a weekday. We were quickly seated & promptly greeted by our server. However, the server made absolutely no attempt to accommodate one of our party who had difficulty communicating in French. The menu includes standard pub fare, with a number of specialties & beer on tap. One of us ordered salmon, which was a nice portion served on a bed of vegetables. The salmon was well-cooked, but the vegetables were limp & soggy. We also tried the specialty salad, which came topped with grilled chicken. While the salad looked appetizing, the chicken was more'blackened' than grilled. Finally, the fish & chips (one of the house specialties) was a major disappointment. The single piece of fish was heavily battered & over-cooked to the point of being dry & practically unchewable. The fries were okay, but given the price the serving was unimpressive. The draft beer was served not more than lukewarm. Perhaps we should have ordered the sangria (which looked great!) instead. For the price, even pub food should be expected to be of a higher quality.

The food is not good. The salad was "mix salad srtaigh from the supermarket box" with balsamic.
Penne with tomato & basil very ordinary. Fish & chips: fish very oily & tasteless. Maybe for a drink is OK. The creme brule for dessert was OK. Would not recomend & even more if you are with a toddler they don't have booster seats or anything.
The Best looking Pub on the South Shore. with excellent food & service!
As soon as i walked into Le Mile Public House i knew this would be my new hangout. The rustic look gives a comforting feeling. It feels like a real neighborhood pub.
I went there with a party of 4. to start i took a pint of Grolsch & my friends each took a Pot Masson. I ordered a Burger with a side salad. The burger was one of the best burgers i ever had. With a fried pickle on top & an onion ring inside & the meat was cooked to perfection. My friends were also very satisfied with their meals.
The staff is very friendly & & service was excellent. I would recommend this bar to everyone.
