We wouldn't go very far. About a quarter Mìle from our house.
It used to be our meeting point, which quickly became a source of comforting nostalgia for my friends and I. It still feels like it was yesterday. However, it was a lifetime ago. A time frozen by our memories. A time of our youthful past.
A time where friendship dictated our code of ethics. A time where, according to our discussions, we were kings of the world, sitting quietly at the foot of our tree; a large poplar.
A few years later, the poplar needed us. It's inevitable death caused by the evolving growth in the real estate sector, hurting all that enjoyed its soul. We wanted to save it. We had to save it.
Then, a crazy dream came to life: To bring a new dimension to the pillar of our memories.
Mile Public House delivers a lively and welcoming atmosphere with friendly service and a creative cocktail lineup, while the food offers consistent quality with a range of shareable and hearty options at good value. The vibe is energetic and social, making it a popular spot for groups and evenings out, with attentive staff and quick service when not overwhelmed. Some reviews note the music can be loud and busy, but the overall experience comes across as enjoyable and memorable, especially for weekdays or weekend gatherings. The menu features crowd pleasers like tartare, poutine, fish and chips and club sandwiches, and guests often leave citing great prices, solid drinks, and a willingness to return.
The food & drinks were decent, but the overall experience was a bit mixed. The music was extremely loud, making it hard to hear my friend talking across the table. The crowd also seemed quite young, & some groups were loud & a bit rowdy, which made the atmosphere feel more like a party than a chill place.
Service was also slower than expected, likely because there were several large groups at the restaurant at the same time. The staff seemed busy trying to manage everything.
Overall, it's a lively spot that might appeal to a younger crowd looking for a high-energy vibe, but it wasn't the best environment if you're hoping to have a decent conversation with friends. The food & drinks were decent, but the overall experience was a bit mixed. Had an awesome time at Mile Public House! The vibe is always great, & the drinks never disappoint. The whole cocktail menu is creative, refreshing, & always hits the spot. 🍸🔥 Eloise is a super great waitress, she took great care of us!

The Mile Public House is a fantastic venue to celebrate a friend's birthday. The atmosphere is lively, the food is delicious, & the drinks are both tasty & visually appealing. While the service was a bit slow, the overall experience was enjoyable. I would highly recommend trying the fried calamari & bavette dishes for a delightful culinary experience. The restaurant's ambiance & menu selection make it a great choice for special occasions & gatherings with friends.

Gros merci à Alain, Brandon & Kimchi pour leur service excellent! De la super bonne nourriture, un service efficace & des très bon drink. Je recommande ce restaurant qui a un très bon rapport qualité prix ! Love you all ❤️
