We stopped by for an impromptu post-Covid lunch on a weekday. We were quickly seated and promptly greeted by our server. However, the server made absolutely no attempt to accommodate one of our party who had difficulty communicating in French. The menu includes standard pub fare, with a number of specialties and beer on tap. One of us ordered salmon, which was a nice portion served on a bed of vegetables. The salmon was well-cooked, but the vegetables were limp and soggy. We also tried the specialty salad, which came topped with grilled chicken. While the salad looked appetizing, the chicken was more'blackened' than grilled. Finally, the fish and chips (one of the house specialties) was a major disappointment. The single piece of fish was heavily battered and over-cooked to the point of being dry and practically unchewable. The fries were okay, but given the price the serving was unimpressive. The draft beer was served not more than lukewarm. Perhaps we should have ordered the sangria (which looked great!) instead. For the price, even pub food should be expected to be of a higher quality.
