We wouldn't go very far. About a quarter Mìle from our house.
It used to be our meeting point, which quickly became a source of comforting nostalgia for my friends and I. It still feels like it was yesterday. However, it was a lifetime ago. A time frozen by our memories. A time of our youthful past.
A time where friendship dictated our code of ethics. A time where, according to our discussions, we were kings of the world, sitting quietly at the foot of our tree; a large poplar.
A few years later, the poplar needed us. It's inevitable death caused by the evolving growth in the real estate sector, hurting all that enjoyed its soul. We wanted to save it. We had to save it.
Then, a crazy dream came to life: To bring a new dimension to the pillar of our memories.
Mile Public House offers a lively and welcoming atmosphere with a vibrant energy that makes it a great spot to grab a drink or a meal after a show. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, and the cocktail menu is creative and satisfying with standouts like the espresso martini. The food menu features crowd pleasers such as tartare, poutine, fish and chips and a top notch club sandwich, all described as delicious and well priced. The space combines a refined interior with a warm, convivial vibe and a nice terrace, making it a versatile choice for groups, couples or evenings out. Staff are noted for going the extra mile to explain drinks and provide excellent service, contributing to many memorable visits. For those looking to unwind with great drinks and tasty bites in a lively setting, Mile Public House is a dependable pick.
The food & drinks were decent, but the overall experience was a bit mixed. The music was extremely loud, making it hard to hear my friend talking across the table. The crowd also seemed quite young, & some groups were loud & a bit rowdy, which made the atmosphere feel more like a party than a chill place.
Service was also slower than expected, likely because there were several large groups at the restaurant at the same time. The staff seemed busy trying to manage everything.
Overall, it's a lively spot that might appeal to a younger crowd looking for a high-energy vibe, but it wasn't the best environment if you're hoping to have a decent conversation with friends. The food & drinks were decent, but the overall experience was a bit mixed. Absolutely loved this pub! The food was delicious, the service was friendly & quick, & the ambience was amazing & welcoming & full of character. Highly recommend for a great night out! 🍽?✨🍻
It went down under my eyes. I been here many times & every time is worst than before. The first time I loved it, I rated 5stars , today went down to 2 . I don't think I'll come back. I'll just keep in my memory the noquis, & the fried cauliflower. The pumpkin soup & the friendly bold guy. The good music & the funny descriptions of the tax on the bills.
Excellent pub pour prendre un verre avec des amis ou collègues après le boulot. L'espace intérieur est assez raffiné & le service est à la hauteur du nombre d'étoiles donnés.
A fantastic espresso martini. Food was Good, did the cluck norris & loved the cluck norris...i refuse to stop saying cluck norris. Well Priced. Service was quick.
I went for Sunday lunch with my husband. Cocktails were great & my club sandwich was fantastic! The staff were super friendly & provided excellent service! Definitely going back & definitely would recommend!
