A nice family run establishment & they serve excellent food. Our waiter Basile was excellent & we felt very well taken care of. The tempura was delicious as was the sushi. The Miss Saigon roll was the favourite of the night. Fresh & well prepared. The raspberry sorbet tasted like you were biting into a ripe raspberry. Highly recommended.

(Visite du 7 octobre) La qualité du poisson & de la nourriture en général était à tomber par terre ! Les cocktails également. Cette expérience culinaire incroyable a d'autant plus été sublimée par le service incroyable & chaleureux de notre serveuse aux petits soins qui a su nous donner de très bonnes recommandation avec une énergie pétillante. Encore un gros merci à l'équipe qui a offert le dessert pour la fête de mon chum, je voulais une soirée inoubliable pour l'occasion & ça n'a pas raté ! Merci encore
En un mot : excellent ! Poisson de très bonne qualité, fondant & savoureux. Service professionnel & agréable. Cocktails délicieux fait par quelqu'un de passionné. Décoration feutrée, douce & intimiste avec une vue sur une partie de la cuisine. Je recommande vivement !
Expérience incroyable ! Poissons de très bonne qualité & fondent sur la langue je recommande les assortiments de nigiris & de sashimis ! Les cocktails sont excellents & le Bartender/Mixologue est vraiment très agréable, professionnel & passionné ! L'accueil par le gérant, la serveuse & les serveurs a été parfait tout au long du dîner. I heard a lot about this sushi place in Montreal, so I decided to try it myself. The atmosphere was fantastic, & our waiter was genuinely friendly & attentive. While the food was decent, I did feel the quality could have been a bit higher considering the price. That said, it was still enjoyable overall, & I'd recommend it for a date night.
I've been going to Mikado for a while. Always had a good experience & the food is very fresh. We went this weekend for my dad's bday (my first time since the renovations) & it was a little disappointing.. The waitress, Genevieve, didn't seem to match the vibe & service I would expect from a Sushi Restaurant with Mikado's Reputation (& prices)... We got appetizers, plates & sushi (bc not everyone was getting sushi as their main meal) & she didn't ask us in which order everything should come out. Some people ended up getting their main meal while others were getting their appetizers (which left them with nothing to eat later on). The first service was quite confusing as we got hot & cold appetizers at the same time Then they gave us an empty soy sauce container. Also, they forgot my dad's soup as well as our sashimi order. Usually, sashimi & nigiri are served first, before other strong flavours affect the palate. Then you eat the makis. Because she didn't enter our order correctly we ended up getting the sashimi in the middle of the evening. When I dine out & pay for marked up prices & food, it's not just for the quality of the food & the convenience of not having to cook it. It's also for the service (which my family & I always tip for generously as I've personally worked in the restauration industry myself) & ambiance. I did expect better from Mikado, or at least for them to uphold the standard they had previously set with me & the many meals I've already had there. Ps. I also asked for mocktails recommendations because I'm on medication right now & can't have alcohol. She recommended the Sawa something, saying it was fresh & herbaceous . It's not. It tastes like limonade & is quite sour. I wouldn't say it's thirst-quenching nor has any herb fragrance at all.
Nous avons vécu une expérience gastronomique incroyable au Mikado ! Dès notre entrée, le service a été impeccable. Le personnel était attentif, amical & connaissait bien le menu. La nourriture était absolument remarquable. Chaque plat était magnifiquement présenté & débordait de saveurs. Les boissons étaient tout aussi impressionnantes, avec une grande sélection de cocktails & de vins qui complétaient parfaitement notre repas. Nous avons suivi les recommandations du propriétaire, Tin, & nous n'avons pas été déçus ! L'atmosphère est chaleureuse & accueillante, ce qui en fait l'endroit idéal pour un repas décontracté ou une occasion spéciale. J'ai hâte d'y retourner pour découvrir d'autres plats de la carte. We followed the recommendation of the owner Tin & were not disappointed! The atmosphere was warm & inviting, making it the perfect place for both a casual meal & a special occasion. We visited the restaurant 2 weeks ago & had a fabulous experience! The decor, food, service & atmosphere were all outstanding. I am vegetarian & there were so many options, all of them delicious. My partner was just as impressed with his choices. I highly recommend for couples, friends or groups.
Dining at Restaurant Mikado Laurier is an experience I highly recommend. Their newly renovated space combines a chic, modern ambiance with the best quality sushi & impeccable service. The service is outstanding, with attentive & knowledgeable staff who enhance the dining experience with their recommendations & warm hospitality. Of course, the highlight is the sushi itself, crafted with the freshest ingredients & beautifully displayed.
Returned after the renovations. Ambience was spectacular, food & drinks were delicious. Owners & staff are kind & attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant for dinner or drinks.
Best sushi restaurant in Montreal. Amazing food & service, I definitely recommend the Bavette Grille, thon royale & the NDG maki. The sushi is fresh, ambiance is nice & the hospitality is great! Definitely will be back again!

The food was fantastic! The amazing food combined with a beautiful atmosphere led to a very fun night out. The staff was very friendly & kind! Would highly recommend, one of the best restaurants in the city!
