I came here with my boyfriend & we had the BEST dining experience we've ever had in Montreal, by far.
The food was incredible, but perhaps more importantly, amidst a carefully created atmosphere, was exceptional service. There was not a moment when our glasses were not replenished. Our waitress asked in what order we wanted our plates served & the staff took great care in timing it so. She balanced friendly conversation & professionalism so expertly. The gentleman, who I believe was the front of house manager who sat us initially, was also so kind & attentive the whole night. At the end of the dinner they surprised us with a sparkler & desserts to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We've never felt such warmth from a dining experience & will happily make Mikado a tradition 🫶.
My husband & I stopped in at Mikado last Saturday after a long afternoon of wandering around Old Montreal, & we were so glad we did. The sushi was incredibly fresh, especially the salmon sashimi which practically melted in your mouth. Our server was warm & attentive without being pushy, which we really appreciated after a tiring day on our feet. We will absolutely be coming back next time we visit the city.

Checked out Mikado for their night menu & was really impressed. The food was fresh & well made, & the pricing was very fair. The place itself is cozy with great vibes, which made the whole experience even better. Special mention to our server who was attentive & took great care of us throughout the night. Would happily return.
Mikado is a stylish, upscale spot with excellent sushi. We arrived in rain jackets since we were visiting, & the host initially asked if we were picking up - which made us feel a bit unwelcome despite having a reservation.
But the experience completely turned around thanks to our waitress. She was warm, friendly, & attentive, & really made us feel comfortable. The food was fresh & beautifully prepared.

Food is fresh & delicious. There is an array of options for everyone's tastes/preferences (raw fish, vegetarian, etc.) The service was excellent. The employees were professional & attentive. I highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar for a unique experience.
