Review Summary

Mie Matinale is described as a charming bakery with a Parisian vibe and a touch of Portuguese influence, where almond croissants and other pastries shine alongside a homemade Christmas fruit cake, muffins and cookies, and generous sandwiches served in a warm, welcoming atmosphere with friendly service and staff that sometimes speak English. The decor is noted for its original style and a soundtrack that adds to the Parisian mood, while cleanliness is praised, including impeccably clean toilets in some reviews. Coffee is praised for its large, satisfying cups, with practical notes about cash or Interac since card payments are not always available, and the pace is relaxed enough for a leisurely visit. Overall the reviews portray Mie Matinale as a gem in Montreal, valued for quality products, reasonable prices and a consistently pleasant experience that invites a return visit.

Crossiants with camp. How could you go wrong? If you can handle the eccentric queen who runs the place (he's mostly harmless unless you don't speak French), the pastries are absolutely delicious. Crispy yet soft & chewy croissant? Check. One of the best in town. I also tried their strawberry'galette' which had custard, strawberry jam & tons of fresh strawberries. A bit too sweet but addictively tasty. A regular here.

Such a cute place with over the top French/Quebec chanteusse torch singer madness. The $40.00 bricks of fruit cake added to the awkward inside chuckle & the mustachioed ultra effeminate Barista makes this an experience not to miss. I love this place. One word of advice: Speak French.
