I found La Memphré to be a good experience, but never quite transcended that to be a great one. The food was pretty good & I found the beer selection okay, but was hoping for a few other options. The service was quick & very friendly, & the building was warm, welcoming & comfortable.
Moderate to a tiny bit pricey ($9 CAD a beer, $20 CAD for a proper meal) but really very good. La principale & la grand dame beers are great (didn't try the others). La bucanière poutine also fantastic.
Agréablement Surpris ! Une soirée d'octobre...avec une belle température encore mais ils n'ont pas pu ouvrir la terrasse... dommage mais je comprend ! Bonnes bières goutteuse & variées. le repas était excellent, de mon point de vue culinaire tout était bien exécuté & dans de bonne proportion. Je vous le recommande mais prenez votre mal en patiente pour avoir une table !
On était 5 personnes & on nous plaçait à des endroits où on aurait eu à toujours se faire frôler par les serveurs/ clients. On a du demander à 3 reprises d'être changé de place. Mais sinon, le service aux tables était vraiment super, rapide, agréable. & les plats étaient généreux & délicieux.
Côté bouffe & service, tout était parfait! Le hamburger l'Américain était excellent en ce qui me concerne. Même chose pour la salade au canard confit de ma conjointe. C'est sur l'ambiance que ça s'est gâté. Nous étions dehors sur la terrase, sur le côté & le bruit de la rue, sans arrêt, était infernal (à l'heure du souper, un soir de semaine). En plus un train a passer durant notre souper, à quelques mètres de nous. Ouf. Mauvaise expérience.
La poutine au confit de canard & sauce au bleu mérite sa place à la poutine week ! L'accord bières- plats proposé est très sympa. Petit bémol sur les burgers auxquels il manque un petit kick selon moi.
