J'avais fait une réservation pensant que ça allait être très achalandé pour un samedi soir …pas du tout l'intérieur du restaurant était vide à 20h30 . Mes enfants ont mangés de la poutine à 26$ … vraiment exagéré pour une poutine ! J'ai mentionné qu'il y avait eu erreur sur ma commande & il n'y as eu aucun suivi .. mais le serveur était sympathique quand même …
Le service & le personnel sont tellement chaleureux & sympathique! Notre serveuse était vraiment serviable & tellement joviale. C'est un bel endroit avec une ambiance décontracté, mais certaines tables sont vraiment trop proches l'une de l'autre, on entendait toute la conversation de nos voisins. Je trouve ça dommage surtout qu'on avait réservé d'avance, je m'attendais à avoir une meilleure table. Les bières sont très bonnes. La nourriture était bien, la salade César était bien garni & excellente, la poutine c'était correcte & j'ai malheureusement eu un cheveux dans mon assiette. Un bon endroit pour manger une bouchée en apéro & prendre une bière.
Our first visit to this restaurant. I always noticed it is a very happening place with big line ups & full terraces. Must be good? It is not!
The food is not - everything else is alright. We were three people & ordered different items.
I had fish & chips (26$) - the fish was the standard, not impressive, frozen from a big box store type of fish & the fries were just equally just commercial potato fries. The type of bad meal I could but would not make make myself at home. My lunch companions ordered 1) hamburger (26$, yes I said 26 dollars!!) & declared it a mistake. 2) a veggieburger (24) & also didn't enjoy the plate.
Now aside from the quality of the food - it's a fun place. Great location on the river flowing out of lake Memphremagog in Magog on Merry street. Terrific terrace for people watching & getting rowdy. The interior has a rustic decor of grab a beer & then some more, lol. The beer is delicious . I believe mine was called Kateville. A glass for 12$.
I did see the attraction - big versatile menu, lots of twenty something dollar poutines & a fun ambience with great beer!
So go, keep it basic & enjoy the beer.
On est allés là-bas pour des drinks & le souper. On a commandé des bières, de la poutine & du poulet portugais grillé, qui était très bien cuit & délicieux. La poutine était faite avec du fromage frais. Par contre, l'ambiance n'était pas très agréable. La musique était trop forte, & il y avait un groupe près de notre table qui était trop saoûl, criait & jouait, ce qui était dérangeant
Moderate to a tiny bit pricey ($9 CAD a beer, $20 CAD for a proper meal) but really very good. La principale & la grand dame beers are great (didn't try the others). La bucanière poutine also fantastic.
La poutine au confit de canard & sauce au bleu mérite sa place à la poutine week ! L'accord bières- plats proposé est très sympa. Petit bémol sur les burgers auxquels il manque un petit kick selon moi.
