I've been eating Metro Pizza since high school ( FOREVER LOL ) both the West Island & Verdun locations so I've definitely seen all the ups & downs. Over the last year, they've been solid. Honestly, the best they've been in a long time.
I've spoken with the owner a few times & he's always super chill & easy to deal with. I only had one hiccup recently (couldn't select'cheese only' online), but as soon as I called, they handled it right away with zero attitude. Even sent me another one when I said it was okay which is super cool so it shows they care.
When Metro is on, it's exactly how I like my pizza classic, cheesy, & still one of my comfort spots. There were a few years where the quality dipped, but they're definitely back on track. They're one of those places I never gave up on, & I'm glad I didn't. Huge fan of it & a lot of my friends know thats my go to & they added it to their list as well.
Hoping the consistency stays the way it's been this past year. They deserve more love & more customers. Super chill people, great classic pizza & if you're in to Fritou ( fried chicken with the fries & gravy coleslaw combo they kill it

STAY AWAY FROM THEIR FRIED CHICKEN! Grey & old . But the pizza is very good being ordering for years. Meilleur pizza a vie. 20 ans que je commande & cest la meilleur pour moi. MAIS Déjà 3 fois le poulet était très rassis... vieux, gris... aurait pu être empoisonné... Je ne le recommande pas !
The pizza & mini poutine combo with a drink was less than 15$ with taxes & tips & it was SO GOOD! The portion was enough for two people. The owner is very nice & takes pride in his work. Highly recommend!
Update: 5 years later, thought we'd try again, same old same old. Took an hour & 15 for 2 poutines, even though they said paying cash would get it there in 35 minutes. Is this a cash scam? & it was so salty we couldn't even finish it. Disappointed, again. First, they told us many times that if we paid cash the order comes way faster than if we use a card. So last night we paid cash & the order still took just as long as usual, over an hour for two poutines. Second, we asked for extra gravy, & the poutines were so dry we had to add our own sauce. We'll go to Lafleur's from now on.
