Très belle soirée au Mesón après un après-midi à l'Omnium de tennis. La bouffe, l'ambiance & le service était au-dessus des attentes (même si on avait lu de très bons commentaires). Notre serveur, dont j'oublie le nom, était avenant & agréable. Au menu, on a particulièrement aimé le saumon mariné, le chou-fleur rôti, le gravlax de truite, la paella (nous étions 6, dois-je le rappeler!). Petite déception pour la sangria, mais dans l'ensemble une soirée presque parfaite.

Superbe expérience. Nous étions un groupe d'une vingtaine de personnes, & le service fut impeccable -- on savait clairement combien il y avait de portions pour chaque plat (ex: 2 croquetas par personne), & on n'a jamais eu besoin de demander d'eau. La nourriture était délicieuse -- coup de coeur pour la fideuà aux champignons & les churros.
Notre resto de quartier préféré. Environ une quinzaine de visites depuis son ouverture. Toujours bon, sans prétention. Hier nous y étions une fois de plus avec un groupe de 6, & avons partagé une dizaine de plats du menu. Un de mes meilleurs repas des dernières années. À ne pas manquer tartare de saumon, gravlax de truite, calmars frits, paella,
La nourriture est tout simplement excellente!

Nous sommes arrivé 40 minutes avant la fermeture & ils nous ont servit comme si c'était 19h.

A tapas place in a residential area. A casual restaurant gives an impeccable service compared to a fancy fine-dining one.
We were a bit clumsy with the Spanish menu, the passionate young Elaina patiently helped us to demystify every section on the menu. Then she has suggested three choices from the Platitos Frios, three from the Platitos Calientes & one from the Platos to share as tapas, also a bio white wine to pair with. The tapas was served two by two, plates, forks & knifes were changed after every serving. The delectable paella was served at the end.
Belle expérience de brunch, beau, différent, pas cher, délicieux. Je pense qu'il est nécessaire de réserver pour éviter les mauvaises surprises.
Pour une facture peu salée par contre (seulement 4$ un latté c'est très bien), j'avoue que j'ai trouvé un léger manque de sel dans les assiettes, & je trouvais mon plat un peu moins élaboré & varié comparé à celui de ma partenaire de brunch.
J'y retournerai, sel en main, avec plaisir par contre !
I went to Meson with my cousin for a late night dinner, hence we easily found parking. What a discovery. This is now a top 3 in my list of great dining experiences. The ambiance, the service, & food impeccable. Our waiter was very nice & attentive to our questions. Even the waitress who brought the food over would explain each dish. Each dish was a delight. The wine was a good pick, white Faustino. I am definitely going back!! Bravo to Meson team!
