The place for Sunday brunch with a Spanish twist. Gravlax & pan con tomato are delicious. Service is top notch & the ambiance is always warm & cosy.

Très belle soirée au Mesón après un après-midi à l'Omnium de tennis. La bouffe, l'ambiance & le service était au-dessus des attentes (même si on avait lu de très bons commentaires). Notre serveur, dont j'oublie le nom, était avenant & agréable. Au menu, on a particulièrement aimé le saumon mariné, le chou-fleur rôti, le gravlax de truite, la paella (nous étions 6, dois-je le rappeler!). Petite déception pour la sangria, mais dans l'ensemble une soirée presque parfaite.

Notre resto de quartier préféré. Environ une quinzaine de visites depuis son ouverture. Toujours bon, sans prétention. Hier nous y étions une fois de plus avec un groupe de 6, & avons partagé une dizaine de plats du menu. Un de mes meilleurs repas des dernières années. Pour le déjeuner samedi matin, la pieuvre était excellente, tendre & bien assaisonnée, mais le gravlax de truite décevant : tranches épaisses, texture un peu caoutchouteuse & collante, petite portion (une entrée, pas un plat de résistance même le matin) & 2 petite rôties n'ont pas suffit non plus. Café très corsé non inclus avec l'assiette (pour votre information), option végétale de lait d'avoine servi chaud. Donc à moitié rassasiées, nous sommes allées à la boulangerie-pâtisserie après pour prendre un deuxième café & une bouchée sucrée. Donc oui pour la pieuvre, moyen pour le reste de la cuisine, d'où le 3 étoiles.

One of the best brunches ever. Gravlax de Trucha: Trout gravlax, goat cheese whipped with pepper, herring caviar, cucumber, radish, poached egg, toast. Well located with a great atomosphere, it was so delicious & we had a great time. The menu is various & everything was so good.

Update: Nous sommes allés par hasard pour le novembre Montréal avec Une sélection plus restreinte de nourriture à un prix fixe 52 $ par personne. Encore une fois, tout était solide & Sympathique. Toujours un classique dans le cartier. Bon service. Bon vins. Drinks bien fait. Ambiance chaleureuse. Le gravlax de truite, les calmars & les cocas ( qui sont plus généreuses en portion qu'avant ) sont super bonnes. La pieuvre aussi. Le menu dégustation dégustation 65$/pers. sans vin est très bon. Un go to pour nous.
