I visited this restaurant after hearing so many great things about it, & honestly, it exceeded my expectations! I actually came all the way from Ottawa, & it was absolutely worth the trip. 👏
The food was incredibly authentic & delicious. The flavors were rich & perfectly balanced. The couscous was light & flavorful, & the tagine was simply amazing full of depth & traditional Moroccan taste. 😍
The service was excellent, & the staff were very warm & welcoming. The atmosphere felt cozy & inviting, almost like dining in a traditional Moroccan home.
I highly recommend this place to anyone in Montreal or even visiting from another city. It truly deserves five stars, & I will definitely be coming back again! 🌟

Menthe & Couscous quickly became one of my favorite places in the city. The food is full of flavor, always fresh, & beautifully presented. The staff are warm, welcoming, & make you feel right at home. Highly recommend the couscous & the mint tea - perfection!

I'll start by saying that the food here was amazing & delicious & if I were to solely rate the food it would be 5 stars. The service however really needs some improvement. After being seated & having our orders taken, we received the wrong appetizers by the same server who took our order. Then instead of receiving our correct appetizers we got our Main Course. I corrected that with the server & they took our food back & brought out the appetizers we ordered except they were clearly made in a rush as one of them was missing the lamb that was supposed to come with it. Finally after all that we thought we would have some dessert & asked for a dessert menu only for them to have completely forgotten about it & after waiting 15 min we just asked for the bill & left. Not once did anyone come to check if the food was good or if we need anything.
Let me reiterate this though. The food was excellent & if you want to try Moroccan food, I highly recommend it. But be prepared for the possibility that the service may not be up to par.
Update 2025 - Service has improved massively. Food quality remains phenomenal. I will continue to recommend this place to anyone visiting Montreal.
We ate at Menthe & Couscous last October for dinner & it was wonderful! Our host was so friendly & explained with enthusiasm the entire menu. We had the couscous royal ( so fresh!), tajine with chicken olives & lemon (amazing!) & soup (warm & yummy). Would highly recommend & we will be back again :)
