Menthe & Couscous: A restaurant with a warm decor & atmosphere in Montreal! Menthe & Couscous offers gourmet cuisine from North Africa, traditional Tunisian & Moroccan dishes in particular, where authentic culinary customs are applied. Specialties consist of lamb, chicken, merguez sausage or royal couscous's, finely spiced, letting the taste of vegetables and the delicious flavor of semolina virgin olive oil stand out. Grills are also part of the restaurant's menu where you will discover authentic and delicious dishes made with fresh & high quality produces. You will have the occasion to discover Tunisian salads that are rich in color & flavor. They are fresh & perfumed, perfect for the Summer, but can be savored any time of the year. The brick is an essential classic of North African cooking. We prepare it as a hot appetizer for a feast or as a light meal. Infinite versions exist for this typical dish. Fresh mint is almost omnipresent in North Africa. Nothing beats mint tea to transport you to Maghreb. Your taste buds and nostrils will be delighted with its intoxicating perfume, while the sound of the pouring liquid charms your hearing. Really nice restaurant. Nice touch with the decor. Mediterranean inspired. Food is really good, with a fusion touch. We took the group royal Menu. Nice variety & taste. Awesome experience. Had reservations at 8 pm were a bit early & had no problem being seated. Restaurant was very busy but it didn't take away from a great experience. We were served by Rachel & I can say she might be one of the best servers I have encountered. I am also in the business for 18 yrs & was inspired by her knowledge of every detail. My spouse had been trying to take me there for a while now & I can say I was impressed. Also I rarely write a review but this time I had to take the time to do so.Thank as well to the hospitality from the minute we walked in till we departed.View more

My spouse & I had heard about this restaurant for a few years. Finally when the opportunity presented itself & we found ourselves in Montreal we planned ahead & booked this restaurant. Advance reservations highly recommended! The restaurant is fairly large with a bustling wait staff. The restaurant is decorated with Mediterranean & Middle Eastern lanterns & motifs. Our server was very energetic & the restaurant was very accommodating to modify the tasting menu per our dietary restriction. The tasting menu was highly recommended since the menu is quite expansive. The food came to our table promptly & was beautifully plated. The menu is on the pricier side but well worth it for special occasions.View more

An understated & beautiful restaurant located in the quartier latin. The weather that evening was lovely & so we chose to sit in the outdoor terrace area. Even though the restaurant was completely full we felt like the entire evening/dinner was an intimate experience. We started with the tomato soup, literally one of the finest soups ever. Followed with the four appetisers plate, was outstanding with vibrant & unique flavors without being overpowering. Salad M & C was amazing. The shank of lamb was perfect with couscous & vegetables. We had a beautiful bottle of wine to go along with the meal. The service & staff in general was tremendous with just the right amount of conversation & privacy. We had some expectations & they were more than fulfilled. The place was packed, after telling the hostess that we had an anniversary she was quick to get us a better table. I heard this retaurant was good but you have to reserve in advance & I could never get a reservation but when I did go; the food was the best Mediterranean food I had in Montreal, for my husband that came from that part of the world was the same experience fantastic food. For me was especially the couscous royal was so well delicious. We had very good service. Now I understand why this restaurant is so busy. The decor is nice.View more

We ate here early December. It was our second visit & somehow managed to be even better than our first. We had the show menu & although it's very expensive, they give you an abundance of food. We had to take a doggy bag home. But if you go à la carte I highly recommend the delights for 2 as appetizers & the lamb shank tajine which are out of this world. Nous avons pris le menu de spectacle 4 services à 60$ par personne. Nous avons dégusté avec plaisir les tajines agneaux & celle au poulets. Malgré notre bonne fourchette, nous n'avons pu manger le dessert (n'hésitez pas à demander un doggy bag. Plusieurs clients l'ont fait lors de notre visite). Le repas est copieux & succulent. Je n'ai pas déjeuné le lendemain matin. Il y avait de la nourriture pour trois personnes au moins!! À noter: C'est apportez votre vin.View more
