Menthe & Couscous: A restaurant with a warm decor & atmosphere in Montreal! Menthe & Couscous offers gourmet cuisine from North Africa, traditional Tunisian & Moroccan dishes in particular, where authentic culinary customs are applied. Specialties consist of lamb, chicken, merguez sausage or royal couscous's, finely spiced, letting the taste of vegetables and the delicious flavor of semolina virgin olive oil stand out. Grills are also part of the restaurant's menu where you will discover authentic and delicious dishes made with fresh & high quality produces. You will have the occasion to discover Tunisian salads that are rich in color & flavor. They are fresh & perfumed, perfect for the Summer, but can be savored any time of the year. The brick is an essential classic of North African cooking. We prepare it as a hot appetizer for a feast or as a light meal. Infinite versions exist for this typical dish. Fresh mint is almost omnipresent in North Africa. Nothing beats mint tea to transport you to Maghreb. Your taste buds and nostrils will be delighted with its intoxicating perfume, while the sound of the pouring liquid charms your hearing. Menthe & Couscous is an outstanding restaurant at the quartier latin in Montreal. It has been around a long time & just seems to get better. If you want lamb you cannot do better than Menthe & Couscous. The service was top & the food excellent. The salad was so good you would have thought. Of the 5 mains ordered, although all were great. But be aware that this is not an inexpensive evening. So do what we did in terms of a family celebration. Make it even that more special of an evening.View more

I had the most wonderful experience celebrating Valentine's Day at Menthe & Couscous! From the moment we walked in, the warm Mediterranean ambiance set the perfect romantic mood. The candlelit tables, soft lighting, & elegant decor created an intimate & cozy atmosphere.
The food was absolutely delicious-every dish was packed with authentic Mediterranean flavors. We started with the mezze platter, which was fresh & flavorful, followed by the lamb tagine that was cooked to perfection. My partner had the seafood couscous, & it was equally delightful.
The live music added a magical touch to the evening, making the experience even more special. The staff was incredibly welcoming & attentive, ensuring that every detail was perfect.
Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or simply want to enjoy amazing Mediterranean cuisine, Menthe & Couscous is the place to be. Highly recommended.View more

Had a great evening at this restaurant. I appreciate the waiter's positive attitude. I tried for the first time the couscous royal. I did not know what to expect but it was very copious & full of flavors with a lamb shank, bon less chicken breast & merguez. A great deal in a meal. Did try my table partner's seafood couscous paella which was fantastic. I would come back for this. For starter we had the delight for 2, it was a good introduction to appetizers. I've never had anything like it before. For dessert I had the baklava with cashews & pistachios. I have a very sweet tooth & I loved it. We ended with their famous green tea with mint. We were looking for a quick diner & wishes to get Mediterranean food. We are really big couscous & tajine lovers & we found that the card was quite elaborate. I cannot say anything about the food, as once again it was delicious, but prices are really high. You pay for the beautiful restaurant & to have a cosy dinner. 5 of us from Texas took the metro to Menthe & Couscous on a Monday night for dinner. We had waited until late morning to make reservations so we got 8pm. The restaurant was full & very busy on our arrival but we were promptly seated & our service started. The appetizers selections are large & made to share & selections of the mains were also very wide ranging. This restaurant is almost a destination restaurant. The food was perfect & the service was very good. Do not be in a hurry they spread the food out for all to enjoy & it kept coming for two hours. The desserts were also the hit of the evening.View more

What a wonderful experience here tonight at Menthe & Couscous. From the moment we stepped in we were made to feel welcomed & accommodated. By reviewing the vast menu of traditional & somewhat fusion Mediterranean foods, your server guides you well to ensure you are ordering just the right amount of food. We started with the salad M & C. After we opted for the royal couscous for 2 which was absolutely delicious & perfectly prepared. Be prepared for a somewhat expensive dining experience, however the service & quality justify the cost as this is a special occasion kind of location. I will be back as I really enjoyed.View more

From start to finish this was one of the best meals ever. We had a table near the kitchen which was so much fun to see all the meals whizzing by. GM Rachel has her act together as staff delivers a five-star experience from being seated to leaving. Service was incredible but the freshness of our whole meal was exceptional. I ate with a large group of colleagues & we had an amazing meal with multiple courses. The service started a bit slow & we waited a long time before our first course but afterwards there was a lot of delicious food & lots of it. The highlight for me was the lamb shank tajine & the seafood paella. The restaurant is on the pricy side but worth every penny.View more
