Lovely burger place very very near to St Joseph's oratory - so a welcome rest stop after the summer heat & walking up & down the not-so-little hill. Burger was very very good & the shashuka fries were amazing. I normally hate Brinjal & eggplant but they were somehow able to make it nice & dry while still retaining its shape & taste. Conveniently located close to St. Joseph church oratory, this was my first dining experience in Montreal & it exceeded my expectations! Absolutely delicious burger & poutine! Everything is made from scratch with fresh ingredients & you can definitely taste it. The smell of buns being baked at the front was making me drool! Very friendly & warm service. Mekan & Beyond is a place you need to check out. It's not your typical burger & fries. Everything is made FRESH. Fries are crispy & burgers tasty. When you're done you need to sit for a while to digest everything, because it's SO filling. When they say Beyond in their title, it really IS Beyond.Voir plus

I've live in several major cities around the world & have tried my share of burgers. Montreal has some decent places, at best. Mekan & Beyond outranks any place in this city by far. Their brioche is soft & light & the meat is perfect. I even tried the chicken burger & I'm not even sure which one I like more.
