wonderful pub. I go there often. Their fish & chips are legendary.
This is always a good place to spend time with friends. The pub offers a lot of good food & great entertainment.
Exactly what you'd expect at an Irish pub. Great food, service & beer.
Very nice pub. The food is immaculate & delicious. The drinks are also very good. The ambiance was so nice too. There was live music & this first visit absolutely blew me off. Charming!
Has a nice & welcoming vibe, pretty much what you'd expect from McKibbin's. The food, however, was really disappointing. We tried their poutine & onion soup (probably not great choices in an Irish pub, but still).
My favorite pub. There is always friendly staff & the really good pub food. The selection of beer & drinks is also good. I come here often & I'm always satisfied.
Thanks for keeping it real
Standard pub. Good selections of drinks. Gets a bit loud (I am an old fart) when the live music, which was good, comes on.
The food was ok, the service was better, but the atmosphere didn't have the friendly, cozy pub vibe I expected.
This cozy Irish pub features classic pub fare, with the Irish stew being a standout, other popular items including burgers, wings or fish & chips. My Tuesday devotion is jambalaya (not much of authentic Irish) & black velvet. This franchise boasts a wide selection of beers on tap, including imports or local brew. But the prices were a bit steep for a weekday lunch.
Saturday March 29th, 16:30.I haven't been to this location before, but I have been to the downtown one a number of times, based on my experience from downtown some friends & I stopped by yesterday afternoon. I'm going to be quick in this review compared to some I have done in the past. I'll just focus on my fish & chips. Not really my go-to meal, I generally only eat fish that I have cooked myself because most places overcook fish. Nevertheless I ordered it. First impressions were favourable, nice crispy exterior batter, nice colour. Flipping it over, it was nothing but oil on the bottom, it was dripping onto the plate & even into the tartare sauce. I tore into it, the biggest issue eas the ratio of batter to fish, it wasn't a particularly good sized piece of fish even if from the outside that's how it presented as a generous portion. The fish while not overcooked wasn't a thing of beauty, under seasoned & the fish was just very meh. My past forays into fish & chips the flakey white interior fish has a sweetish subtle fish flavour. This was kind of none of that. The tartare sauce was okay, though possibly a little thin, nothing spectacular. The chips were decent, possibly the best part of the meal, but they got cold kind of quickly & cold chips aren't nice to eat. The staff were fine, though somewhat difficult to get their attention, many of the things that should be offered upon serving were offered I had to get up myself to look for malt vinegar. The pub, us your standard run of the mill Irish pub interiors, but clean. There was a live band, not to my liking, found the singing really off key compounding the fact that it was loud even from a table in a back room. This suffice to day isn't my new third place. Came up a bit too mediocre for spending $80 between the wife & I.
Great pub to grab a pint or two & enjoy some food. Had the traditional poutine. Came out quickly & tasted delicious. Staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Gets busy in the evening. Attended on karaoke night & that was a lot of fun, with some true talent singing.
I went to McKibbin's Irish Pub in the West Island with some friends, & we had a great time. They have a solid beer selection-I tried the apricot beer, & it was really good, nice & refreshing. For food, I had the honey-cut fries, which were delicious, & everyone in my group enjoyed their meals as well.
There was a solo artist playing live music, & he was really talented. It added to the Irish pub atmosphere, but depending on where you're sitting, it can get pretty loud. some tables are right up to the stage, so if you're trying to have a conversation with friends, it might get a bid loud. Not a bad thing but something to be aware of. Overall, though, it's a great spot with good drinks, tasty food, & a fun vibe. I'd definitely go back!
Always like to go there as a family. Service was great, food is typical pub food, but well done, & McKibbin's has a nice atmosphere. Went for lunch for a change, today. Usually go for supper.
There is that nice familiar, cozy feeling to this pub, a place you want to go meet up with friends. To add to that the food is good & the staff always friendly.
Irish style pub with Guinness on tap & Irish stew. Other pub foods including Irish onion soup. Nice decor & fireplace. Lots of screens to watch. Lots of pub stuff to look at.
