I went to Mckibbins on spring break, it was fantastic. The service… Crazy… by a good looking server on Friday (Electra?)… Her warmth & attention to details was amazing. The bar was decent, Very crowded so I was impressed to see the server push through the crowd! Would really recommend for students & travellers!
Ma 2 expérience à ce PUB. Une fois en été sur la terrasse & cette fois-ci à l'intérieur par une journée extrêmement glaciale. Le décor est magnifique. Excellent service. Nourriture traditionnelle excellente & bonne portion. Guinesss Stout pour ma part qui est wow. Le seul bémol c'est qu'il faisait très très froid à l'intérieur & être obligée de garder mon manteau pour manger. La seule place où tu sens la chaleur du chauffage c'est dès que tu montes les marches pour aller aux toilettes des femmes en haut. Toilettes propre en passant. Je ne sais pas pourquoi c'est si froid. Les portes d'entrée ne sont pas isolantes donc ça n'aide pas. Hormis ce bémol, endroit typique de pub irlandais que je recommande.

A great atmosphere Irish pub. They have on the menu - unfortunately, only on the menu anymore - a challenge for their Guineiniss record book hot wings. Dear management: please, either make it worth it & give some reward for the challenge or remove the challenge from the menu.
Anyways, the Guinness record book hot wings were really good. Very hot spicy, but tasty spicy & good too. I'd highly recommend trying it. They have live music during the evening.
I got absolutely trashed on fireball with apple cider coolers earlier today & ended up in McKibbin's.
I don't speak French so I ordered the shepherd's pie because it was easy to pronounce in my drunken stupor.
I wasn't expecting to be served the best shepherd's pie that I've ever eaten. It came with a side salad that was also incredible. But I could tell from the second that I laid eyes on that beautiful shepherd's pie that it was something special & boy oh boy was it ever special.
I already know I will go back to my primarily English speaking province craving a shepherd's pie that will bring me even a fraction of the joy that the one at McKibbins brought me.
I absolutely crushed that shepherd's pie & would happily do it time & time again should the opportunity present itself.
Anywho, highly recommend the shepherd's pie & the service was also incredible.
Love it! Cozy place, nice music, perfect food & drinks, & the most important thing, stuffs are super! & our pretty Australian waitress Greta (if I am not wrong in spelling!) was very kind & open & friendly ❤?Strongly recommended!
Great pub atmosphere, wonderful service & delicious foods. Gross are great & highly recommend the mozzarella sticks & onion soup, so cheesy & filling. Terrific spot to watch a footie game (got to see Euro semis) work plenty of screens.
My friends & I always seem to end up at Mckibbins & it rly never fails. The best vibe with live music & a fun atmosphere. THE place to go with your homies for a drink, a dance or to watch a game. Couldn't recommend enough.
Traditional Irish pub atmosphere with lots of beers on tap. We shared the bison burger & fish tacos, both were delicious. Service was great, & fast! would recommend
I love this pub & the one on Bishop Street, but unfortunately, I do not recommend their grilled vegetable salad. None of the ingredients went well together, & for $22 (I added chicken), I'd go with the burger ! My friends got burgers, chicken wings & the poutine & they all really loved their food. The drinks were good, & the service was slow (understandable on a Friday evening). Will definitely come back!

Première expérience sur la terrasse. Bien que ce fut long avant que l'on daigne s'occuper de nous, le serveur a été dune extrême gentillesse & il s'est bien occupé de notre commande. La nourriture, l'ambiance est typique. Je recommande l'endroit. Bon rapport qualité-prix.
I've been to both the Bishop location many time & have now been to this (St-Laurent) location several times too. The food doesn't seem to be as good as at the Bishop location. The standard fare (savoury pies, burgers, fish & chips, wings, etc.) is decent enough but some items on the menu fall short.
The last time I was there I ordered the chowder. Waitress said it was 'amazing' & highly recommended it. It was awful. Not hot enough, tasted sour & a little 'off', seafood was rubbery(frozen perhaps?), texture was lumpy & suggested too much flour/starch was used.
I barely touched it - informed the waitress is wasn't very good. No apology or offer to replay or compensate in any way.
So in general, it's a fun atmosphere, plenty of tv screen for watching the game, sometimes the live music is quite good, decent beer selection.
